@onosowobo @iamlighte @juwondebbie That's precisely my reaction to this. They've normalized it so much in their homes it baffles them that there's women that would report marital rape. Ah. We have such a long way to go. I feel so so bad.

@Funmiscute Penalties for all crimes apply to everyone, even those ignorant of the fact that they're breaking the law. This includes rape, regardless of the perpetrator's relationship to the victim. And to answer your question, yes, I've always known that rape in the marital context is wrong
