@Freegarenskinz1 @LeonKelem @KirkLubimov Yeah the idea the majority of Canadians under 35-40 are all buying snowmobiles, ATV’s, going out to dinner 10 times per month is outrageous.

@sunlorrie Why don’t more people grasp that this Team Canada approach is a way to eliminate the opposition from the picture entirely. Think about it, how exactly can the opposition mount a campaign without breaking from the unified TC approach? It’s the most antidemocratic proposal.

@emre_mayo @Tcho76521726 @wanyeburkett Single myself, when I first moved out on my own I thought hey, let’s go get a Costco membership. I did that, went there once and decided, why am I buying in bulk for myself? Haven’t been back since lol

@eINstigator @WillWJGreaves Good question, I think a lot of this outrage is truly media driven and not as prevalent as we may think. I know some anthems have been booed, but I genuinely don’t hear much about it when out and about.

@matthewstoller His view is very representative of Canada’s Covid approach, where nearly all small businesses were forced to close their doors, while the giants like Wal-Mart were able to remain open. I’m not sure how it was in the US, but I reckon it was similar.

@eINstigator @WillWJGreaves Push comes to shove, who knows what “Canadians” will decide. Also, are you really sure the millions of new immigrants wouldn’t jump at the chance to join the US? Many I know see Canada as a stepping stone to them immigrating to the US, their preferred destination.

@JJ_McCullough I’m pretty politically engaged and I’d have a very hard time telling you off the top of my head a single thing my MP has accomplished in the community. They win at the election and then you nearly never hear from them again.

@tuesday7595 @JJ_McCullough You just know that if in a hypothetical world and Russia invaded us via the arctic, the same ones booing the American anthem would be demanding they come to our rescue.

@whoosh_man @TidalPowerBob @JJ_McCullough If there was true determination to annex Canada, it would all be done administratively, I seriously doubt it would require an actual physical invasion of the military.

@KathrynPaisner @RealRageBadger @HistoryBoomer Issue. But then those organizations business model depends on the issue remaining in the forefront, so the incentive to actually fix said problem takes a back seat. The main focus is ensuring the issue remains front and centre and therefore continuous funding packages.

@RealRageBadger @KathrynPaisner @HistoryBoomer For sure, I’ll be disappointed as well if they don’t actually focus on the bloated areas where spending should be slashed, but I think that will eventually occur.

@SxarletRed What does this have to do with left/right? You don’t think left wing societies don’t celebrate violence?

@KathrynPaisner @RealRageBadger @HistoryBoomer You touch on a good point, that the fear amongst some stems from the fact that since Elon is overdoing things and acting reckless, it will lead to those running cover for true corruption and the issue becoming radioactive to touch since it is associated with Musk and Trump.
