@TheStrokeAssoc Really like this description of a stroke. Short and to the point but covers the full range of effects, which isn’t always done.

I agree Sharon, this is a great opportunity for a really realistic depiction of what life’s like after stroke. This hasn’t happened in recent tv portrayals

@TheStrokeAssoc Very interesting analysis! Good to highlight Logan’s temper and irritability as this, along with poor emotional control, is rarely talked about after stroke and more research and understanding needed

@KateAllatt @StrokeSurvivo14 Certainly balance was my first symptom. I couldn’t understand why I kept walking into people (and doorframes) and then falling over!

This is one of the most helpful explanations I have seen, for both survivors and their families and friends. Good that you are putting this out there again @astrokeofluck

@JasonParkerKPMG @TheStrokeAssoc Hi Jason, the more we talk about it the more we increase understanding and that helps us and those around us. It’s especially important when our disabilities are not apparent and the tendency for others is to think we are ‘better’. I look forward to reading your posts!

@adamhayes900 @TheStrokeAssoc @louisefrknight It is so important to mark our anniversaries, celebrate how far we have come, but also remind everyone that the effects of stroke are not short term. We need support and understanding long term to keep our recoveries on track. We are survivors!

@SandraARegan Hi Sandra, take a look at RiDC, Research Institute for Disabled Consumers. They specialise in helping companies develop products with older and disabled people in mind. You may find the answer on the website or in the panel/forum
