So, this January, after ballooning to 283 lbs, I decided to get back in the gym. I was about 120 workouts in and down to 252 lbs when I ruptured my right plantar fascia. 6 weeks and 1 day later, I just dunked on my birthday!. #dunkonyourbirthday . @BRrebellion

I offered a job to a coach this year. He was a volunteer at a school. Making nothing in baseball and with a 2nd job. My job was salary, paid vacation, 401k w a match. Only work every other Saturday. All Sundays off. Significant raise. Living arrangements taken care of.

If everyone played little league families would spend 1000’s of $$$$ less. Be home for weekends. And the leagues would be the exact competition level 98 percent of people want.
The state of youth baseball has really changed and many families are being misled. The initial plan we had with youth club ball has turned into something I don’t think we envisioned. Community ball needs a revival imho in the 6-11u age group. Focus on development, and fun 1st.

My mother taught me to hit and throw. My dad was in medical school. She stood in front of me right handed. I mirrored her. She didn’t notice. dad tried to turn me around. I cried. So I hit and golf lefty. Mom’s had MS for 39 years. Dr. told her to abort me. She didn’t. ❤️ uMOM.
This is my dad, who has been diagnosed with MS, giving up his time on a day he took off, to sit down and throw to me the best he could, to help me chase a goal I have. He’s not on Twitter, but he’s my hero

Really cool demo of backspin and how it helps move baseballs (yes i know this is a basketball). No spin, knuckle ball, backspin, fastball.
The Magnus Effect:. 🏀The descending, spinning ball drags air around it, forming areas of low and high pressure. 🏀This pressure differential creates a lift force (the Magnus force) that causes the ball to move in the direction of the pressure differential (ie, from high to low)
