@Dr_M_Davis @realDonaldTrump @TheStudyofWar It feels like hubris to imagine we can prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons in all circumstances (did we not have similar ideas about North Korea?). For example, in the very unlikely event, Putin decided to provide weapons? (Implausible given pragmatic ๐ท๐บ๐ฎ๐ฑ links).

@mishtal Is not vengeful anger what Hamas seeks? Is not their aim to destroy any possibility of compromise?

@IsraMum @OliLondonTV @YoniKletzel Even the Russians know there was a surge of Western SF onto Cyprus shortly after 7/10, potentially the basis for the coalition you imagine (that actually formed against ๐ฎ๐ท missiles). Why did Netanyahu decline assistance? What plan/advice did he reject?

@FMcL2020 @AustralianArmy @ChesterfieldO5 @DGFLW_AusArmy Colleagues in DSTL have done good work on this. In essence, they suggest UAS are a CT and lower capability. While the focus was urban, the logic holds for other terrain.

@MenachemV @TerroristHunte6 @VictoriaPolice @theage @australian @theheraldsun @SenPaterson @3AW693 @AlboMP I'd suggest at least one of the police has checked and does not assess that it is the flag of a prescribed organisation?

@LisaHighgate @Joe_Roberts01 You misunderstand my post. I'm saying I learned a positive view of both Jews and Israel because I was provided with positive narratives. I fear that your portrayal of 'hard' will only reinforce negative sentiment. Better to try to win friends than waste effort on sworn enemies?

@wwwPurityOrg Yes, the world would be a better place w/o IRI (the morality of CIA v. Mosaddegh might be pondered?). It's not abstract reasoning to suggest both sides taking moral certainty in war has catastrophic consequences. ๐บ๐ธwar w. ๐ฎ๐ท now would be as morally wrong & stupid as invading ๐ฎ๐ถ.

@Joe_Roberts01 2/2 I grew up in an international (16 nationalities) village in ๐จ๐ญ in the 60's. We had a positive view of ๐ฎ๐ฑ & I reflect on how that was ensured. The narrative emphasised pro-social features, for instance, Kibbutz life & projects in Africa. The message was โก๏ธ/๐ฎ๐ฑ are good people.

RT @MyLordBebo: ๐จ๐ณCRAZY: Spherical Robot to stop attackers and rioters! OK, weโre in some sci fi reality now.

@MarinaMedvin @truesome88 Mind you, at that time Syria and Egypt were 'one country' and rather imagine they intended to subsume Palestine too?

@truesome88 @DrewPavlou Yes, and I wonder which flag they might then choose to shake the tree? Iran or Yemen? Would either of those represent an offence? Might have diplomatic dimensions?

@EliLake You are a historian. Why not examine why so many do support a Palestinian cause & are sanguine about Hamas.......even if merely to know your enemy?

@PieterDorsman @EliLake Yes, Hamas does not want a two-state solution. Now we probably have more Palestinians who are maximalist.

@academic_la Morality is sufficient reason, yet breaching IHL at scale is also foolish, because it is so often counterproductive, building support for enemies.
