@GaryPet53745764 I do not see any of what is happening as 'OK': it most clearly isn't. Meanwhile, while I would never compare Trump to Hitler, he remains a convicted felon and known sexual predator who responded to electoral defeat by attempting to subvert the constitution he had sworn to uphold.

@GarryLavin In domestic affairs, you have a point, certainly (I was thinking, of course, of foreign policy) but, oddly enough, the same thing could be said of the Kaiser: look, for example, at his fixation with breaking the trammels of constitutionalism (yet another point of comparison!).

The great difference, of course, is that the professional politicians, officials and diplomats who staffed the German régime did their best to redact, edit or even suppress Wilhelm's wilder excesses: some chance of anything like that happening in Trump's Washington!
