Magical idealism is a philosophical theory developed by Georg Friedrich Philipp von Hardenberg, also known as Novalis (1772–1801), that combines German idealism with the creative imagination: •Synthesis of ideas Novalis's philosophy is a synthesis of the idealism of Fichte and Schelling with the creative imagination. •Creative imagination The creative imagination's goal is to break down the barriers between the world and language, as well as the subject and object. •Magic Magic is the enlivening of nature as it responds to our will. •Central elements Novalis's philosophy of magical idealism has three central elements: a theory of the creative imagination, a conception of love, and a doctrine of transcendental medicine. •Pantheistic cosmology Novalis believed that the world is a manifestation of the divine, and that the individual human being is also a manifestation of God. •Poetic creativity Novalis believed that the vocation of humankind is to be achieved through poetic creativity. •Analogous structures Novalis believed that language, the mind, the world, and the divine have analogous structures that allow them to reflect each other. ——— My belief is that Magical Idealism & Anthroposophy will be the antidote to the increasingly mechanized and digital world the human being will find himself in. We are in the depths of materialism, and its full horrors are being unleashed as we progress down this timeline. The human being must find his way back to the spiritual world with his newly found Intellect instead of becoming mired in the muck of materialism
