You should not think of cfx as just another token, since cfx represents a blockchain technology, which needs to attract foreign investment and to do so it needs to generate incentives, it would even increase the reward per mined block to 3 cfx and change from GPU to ASIC. It is not necessary for CFX to be deflationary, but rather for it to be used and in demand.

Exactly, I think that the POS apy should remain the same, the rewards for miners should increase, they should even change from GPU to ASIC, it is the only sector that represents an intrinsic value behind the rewards, the mining industry also invests in the CFX token since it has incentives for the price to be above its mining expenses.
