Tried my hands on parasite seo with outlookindia.
Despite other claims, it does not seem to rank your page over night position 1 (any more). Probably takes a bit more time (1-2 months).
Boosted the post a bit with tier2 links from Kevin's PBN. Quite happy with the PBN links and

Just removed 80% of all blogs of a previous writer.
Practically none of the blogs were ranking.
Writer did not do keyword research (too expensive!) and just wrote about topics based on a hunch.

Built this domain to DR28 for cheap.
Social stack and directory submission (can find on fiverr for <$100 each) work when these links are reinforced.
Never had much success with "tradiotional" indexers (omegaindexer).

It's more expensive to buy bad links than good ones.
Most of the links (80%+) that I see in the market every day got clapped or have almost no traffic to start with.
These links don't move the needle.
One good link (e.g. $500) is better than buying 5 trashy links (<$100).
100% correct.
What's really filthy is all the link providers still getting their 'clients' links on these clapped sites.
The 'standard' quality metrics are absolutely useless now and you're going to waste your budget working with someone who hasn't figured that out yet.

Not sure if this falls under technical SEO - maybe more on-page SEO. I HIGHLY recommend to prune no-click content. I have seen pages triple in clicks in 3 months after 80% of pages (all 0 clicks) were no-indexed.

I tested a few backlink building agencies.
The higher DR I order, the more likely it's a PBN.
Backlinks from lower DR websites are cheaper and more contextually relevant.
If it's not a PBN, it's less likely to get a penalized.
