My beautiful dad closed his eyes for the last time last night, a kiss from his granddaughter and my mum at his side. EOL care got absolutely right. We are devastated mornjng but yesterday was a precious memory for our whole family
My eldest son posted this today, we all have our own personal battles, we all have our mountains to climb - what I would say to you is keep going, believe in yourself, don’t let others knock you down - this is why I do what I do

My partner lost his nephew to suicide last night after an argument with his parents, no warning signs, dropped him at Gatwick for emergency flight to Turkey - talking and most of all listening is so important

Worked from home today as I had a special delivery coming, my eldest bought me a pair of limited edition VANs for the Foo Fighters 25th anniversary, I am wearing them under the table all day , better times will come 💃
My lovely boy got his GCSE results,despite a really hard 18 mnths he got what he needs for 6th form and on his path to study English at Uni. Really proud of him, he was still having handwriting support when he started secondary school, didn’t crack reading till he was 8
Today we said our final goodbyes to my beautiful mum, my best friend, my rock and my confidante. Life will never be the same but I know you are always here in our hearts. Give dad a big hug from me 💕

Nxt stage of cancer journey with my wonderful dad, MRI results yesterday showed disease progression and liver mets. Honest conversation with the family last night. Hoping he doesn’t opt for further chemo. Much needed time away with him and mum next weekend

It is with deep sadness we announce that UHDB has lost a dedicated and committed colleague this week to Covid-19. Dr Krishnan Subramanian, a Consultant Anaesthetist at Royal Derby Hospital, sadly passed away yesterday.
28 years working in the NHS and I don’t remember many winters as busy and pressured as this. Team Derby I never fail to be impressed by your constant hard work, smiles and ability to work together for our patients. I am humbled to be working alongside you
Visit to the crematorium, flowers for Dad, a take out coffee and a chat to him for me. Thoughts with everyone who can’t be with their dad today whatever the reason - it’s bloody hard

A year ago today my 5th little babe was born nearly 6 weeks early by emergency section, thanks to the expertise, skill and dedication of RDH maternity teams and obstetric theatres this little beauty was born safely and is 1 today. Forever in your gratitude
