We have lost our 3rd child in 14 months.
Four healthy pregnancies, then three pregnancy losses in a row, in just over a year.
We are crushed.
We dared hope and it was thrown in our faces like ash and sand.
@benshapiro
How does this kid think it's weird trump won a third term, when he must've known he was running for months, even a year or more, before election night? How is "I thought you could only be president twice" not something he would have already hashed out?
The left can't write.
GOOD NEWS! We've spammed Crisis Pregnancy Centers with over 15,000 negative reviews! Please keep using the code to help inform people that CPCs do not actually provide abortions or abortion referrals despite posing as abortion clinics.
Until it's open to every Catholic family, regardless of income, it's impact will be negligible.
Tired of seeing "Orthodox, Classical, Catholic Education" billed above a price point that makes it impossible for kids from anything but upper-middle class families to attend.
In 1965, 50% of Catholic children in America went to Catholic schools.
Today it is less than 10% and we close nearly 100 Catholic schools every year. Unfortunately, 95% of Catholic children who attend public schools do not attend Mass as adults.
But there is good news! Over the
@frmattfish
This documentary sums up what you're describing pretty well.
Whenever someone tells you that things were great since V2, politely make them sit through this.
Bonus points awarded for googling all the contributing clerics and adding up the laicizations.
Thanks be to God, for all the love and support we have received.
This is a challenging time and there is more grief to be had, but the prayers have been benefiting us tremendously.

21 in most states. But there's other ways to stop traffic.
She could be a sign handler for a road construction contractor at 18.
This is my last take on Uvalde. I can't anymore.
That department, the whole department, needs to be disbanded. It's uniforms/patches burned or buried, it's cars used for crash tests, it's firearms melted down, and acts of repartion and exorcism performed by the local ordinary.
@MorgothsReview
Isn't that part of how colonial empires wood subjugate the population? Elevate a minority and then pit them against their former oppressors?
At least that's how the Belgians did it.
@bleachfemme
I mean, my wife, whose ship nearly caught on fire while she was sailing during a storm in the North Atlantic, still gets anxious over the never ceasing pile of laundry.
@DavidPaternostr
Florida man loses entire family and fortune in hurricane and covered in boils in same week.
Here's why his friends say it's his fault:
Woodstock '69 vs Woodstock '99 is a great example of how Boomer ideals are trash.
And they try to blame "frat boys" and "violence culture" and capitalism for 99's failure and I'm like: asshole, you raised those kids, you created vampire capitalism.
What a failed generation.
@roddreher
1. What he described is excommunication. That's the word he was looking for. Not that Episcopalians would remember what that is.
2. Imagine calling somebody a fascist, and then saying something fascist immediately afterward.
@jdflynn
It's sad that we have to ask people to set aside politics and pray for injured law enforcement officers.
Unfortunately that's what we've come to.
Lord, have mercy.
St. Michael, defend him.
@Chris_SmithsJ
Reminded me of this pic. Priest who walked through stopped traffic in the rain to give the Sacraments to a dead motorist.
Something similar to what you describe happened in Atlanta a few years back. Good folk descended on the interstate to help those stranded.
@jdflynn
I've had people call in about a Catholic Church near my beat that has been there since 1859. Their complaint? The Angelus Bells.
Yes, the unamplified, literal bells that have tolled, with little interruption, since before the Civil War, are just too nOiSy.
@calix517
He says it like he really believes it too.
I have a plank in my eye, I don't want to dig out the specks in his, but I do think the shows the tension of being a serious Catholic in an unserious business, and where that can take you.
I'm glad he's serious.
@johnamonaco
Our parish retained its historic character for only one reason.
It was poor.
Wreckovations, while viewed as some type of pius simplicity, were actually extremely expensive.
@jdflynn
If someone says "hey everyone, there is a party coming up and you're all invited" but then never tells you when or where this party is happening, you were not actually invited.
That's what's happening here.
I will never forget losing my son.
My wife called me while I was on orders about 2 hours away. She told me she was losing weight and had not felt any kicks. We were messing nearing 19 weeks, and normally she felt kicks by then.
My command let me leave that same day.
In light of the democrats bringing up the abortion debate again, I’d like to express to you how I became “Pro Life”
If you’re not an active pro abortionist & are passively pro choice, hopefully, this post is for you.
Growing up I was passively pro choice. I knew it
@kaschuta
It was also a time when you could more or less count on your employer to pay you a just wage that would support your family so your spouse didn't have to work. And a time where you may well work for the same company for 30+ years ave retire with a pension, not a trash 401K.
Y'all, pray for me. I think I may have found the talent God wants me to use in this job, and the perfect avenue in which to employ it, but right now the door is closed and it would be really cool if it was opened.
Help me knock please.
@mikenelson586
Dude us Coasties aren't even supposed to spill when a 110 foot cutter is scheduled for a fisheries patrol. No way dudes that close to a big boy war get to say shit about shit.
OPSEC for the most mundane matters is the military way.
@quasi_aurora
This church looks like it was built over the tomb of an Eldritch horror with the express purpose of keeping it confined until Armageddon, and nothing else.
That's my head canon and I'm sticking to it.
@Chris_SmithsJ
Personally I think this was an un-saintly move by Pope Saint Paul VI.
Just because we've forgotten the details doesn't mean they aren't saints.
@excessivecommas
Maybe not the story you're looking for. We don't fit in with our Catholic friends and their adorbs stories. I was a pretty big heathen at the time. She was a non practicing non-denom. But here we are, by the grace of God.
There is NOTHING that has scared me more in my career than dealing with someone with severe mental illness.
Drugs wear off, they might even kill the user.
Alcohol does too, and makes people sloppy even if they're aggressive.
I think one of the most terrifying things I've ever been involved with was during my Social Security disability work. I assisted an individual with serious mental issues, and the severity of the same became clear in my interactions with them.
@tinytrad
My wife and I are the only practicing Catholics in our families.
We hope that changes, but creating a family culture nearly from scratch, plus the lack of substantive support when it comes to things like having LOTS of kids can be isolating.
Never thought I'd read a Catholic argument in support of transing the kids.
Hey libcaths, the left still hates you and will hang you right next to me. Stop trying so hard to be liked.
@Historycourses
OP having a conniption fit over standard errday military bullshitting.
Dafuq do they think is going on in your average day anywhere in the military? A bunch of sober clean living patriots with hard ones for liberty and apple pie singing campfire songs?
People gripe.

Nooooooooooonseeeeeeeense.
All my years of service this has never been part of any AT brief.
Likely some rogue O1-O3.
This is a flagrant political act on the part of someone in uniform and they need to be held accountable.
Leave it to Online Catholics to make other Catholics feel bad for feeling anything.
Like the Eucharistic Congress? Here is an hour long podcast on why you're wrong.
Angry that France is now blaspheming Our Lord and Our Lady? Here's a dissertation on why you're wrong.

Yeah... uh...
Met aboard ship when we were stationed together. Took a shine to each other. I may or may not have ended an engagement over it.
We get get caught, I got reassigned, we stayed serious. I proposed a lil over a year after we met. We were married three months later.
This site is usually terrible, and sometimes I pop off with stupid shit that makes it more terrible, but the reaction to my pain has blown me away.
I know hate and rage gets clicks, but this shows that love can too. In fact, based on my own observations, this gets more.

the shame of the great evil that put them there.
Of all the police involved incidents that have happened over the past few years, this is the worst.
I'll stand by that assement.
Truth is for a few months I WAS wasting my energy stressing about these ACAB idiots. Then I moved on, and it's done wonders for my calm. If that's how you feel, I'm not here to argue or win you you over. Come at me with that energy and you're getting blocked and forgotten.
I'm sorry, it's a personal failing of mine that I resent how many great Catholic schools exist in my diocese that are unaffordable of us unless I work doubles almost every day of the week.
At least I'm blessed that my wife can homeschool our kids using Catholic curriculum,
And they call us fascists.
These people are jackbooted tyrants to their very core. They desire absolute power to dispense with your rights as they see fit. They do not intend to respect the constraints of our system, as we see every day from the people they elect.
Hot take but unless you have a very good reason, homeschooling should be illegal. Too many parents use it to abuse their children, keeping them ignorant and easy to control.
@quasi_aurora
"Parishoners always wondered why St Columba of the Leviathan always had a pastor, even when the congregation dwindled to a handful of sporadicly attending families.
Why Fr was always the diocesan exorcist.
Why Fr never missed a Mass.
Why when storms closed the roads he slept
My diocese has been requesting off-duty officers to work extra at diocesesan sites thanks to the handmaid nutjobs.
If any of these types show up at your parish, my advice is: do not engage, just call the cops. They will be considered trespassers and taken from the property.
