Tired of seeing "Orthodox, Classical, Catholic Education" billed above a price point that makes it impossible for kids from anything but upper-middle class families to attend.
In 1965, 50% of Catholic children in America went to Catholic schools.
Today it is less than 10% and we close nearly 100 Catholic schools every year. Unfortunately, 95% of Catholic children who attend public schools do not attend Mass as adults.

Something similar to what you describe happened in Atlanta a few years back. Good folk descended on the interstate to help those stranded.

I will never forget losing my son.
My wife called me while I was on orders about 2 hours away. She told me she was losing weight and had not felt any kicks. We were messing nearing 19 weeks, and normally she felt kicks by then.
My command let me leave that same day.

There is NOTHING that has scared me more in my career than dealing with someone with severe mental illness.
Drugs wear off, they might even kill the user.
Alcohol does too, and makes people sloppy even if they're aggressive.
I think one of the most terrifying things I've ever been involved with was during my Social Security disability work. I assisted an individual with serious mental issues, and the severity of the same became clear in my interactions with them.

My diocese has been requesting off-duty officers to work extra at diocesesan sites thanks to the handmaid nutjobs.
If any of these types show up at your parish, my advice is: do not engage, just call the cops. They will be considered trespassers and taken from the property.
