In Yamhill County, our Clerk is still counting ballots. Of the ~50,000 ballots recorded as cast so far, ~1600 were not accepted, likely because of signature issues.
The Clerk will send you a note if you need to fix. The list becomes public Nov 23; you have until Nov 29 to fix!

After 12 years, our island community just got confirmation that a very large gravel quarry proposed for the upstream end of our island is having the state withdraw their provisional operating permit.
In other words, one fewer gravel quarry in the Willamette River floodplain!

On Thursday, the Yamhill County Board of Commissioners approved a new anti-harassment policy for county employees, volunteers, & interns, but they made sure that elected officials were not subject to it.
They exempted themselves from a policy prohibiting harassment. That's bad.

Because the vote was unanimous, the ordinance goes into effect immediately; prospective licensees can apply to site therapy spaces starting Jan 2.
