Due to extreme wind in Antalya Challenger we had today two of the most incredible shots I've ever watched (and I've watched a lot of tennis): an underarm ace and a shot I cannot define for how lucky it was. Thanks to
@UnArdeal
and
@marcos_z
for pointing them out
Caruso said to Fabio that he didnt say a word all match long, Fabio replied "Can't I say that you were being fucking lucky"?
Was mostly about that, Salvo was disappointed that Fabio kept saying during match he was so lucky.
Salvo went away saying "I don't expect that from you"
Gabashvili with a blatant fix again. Here is how he played a service game on *2-1 1st set. Every bookmaker closed in play odds (at least the only ones that still price him).
Federico Coria decided to play a game with ballboys at the end of his doubles match: they had to throw the ball (like bowling) and the closest to the baseline won: the winner won Coria's racquet (thanks to
@XavierCatafal
for pointing it out)
Blatant cheating by Nino Serdarusic today (he broke back in that game and then won second set). Bad umpiring too of course. Thanks to
@effe7effe
for pointing it out.
Heated discussion between chair umpire and Zeppieri after match:
Umpire “Stop, stop, stop. I am not taking it personally but think before speak”
Zeppieri “Do you want to argue? Come out (of the court) and I will kill you, come out if you have balls”
BREAKING VIDEO! Umpire Moscarella giving any kind of advice to player during toilet break "Stay focused" "Come on" "2 minutes and its over" "Match should be 61 61 you had 45 break points" "Focused please" etc (via
@Giampao57271089
). Is this acceptable?
Facebook reminds me that 8 years ago (when livescores didnt exist) I was used to send emails to tournament directors to have updated results pretending to be a fan of players I bet on (Thiem was 600+ ranked at time!) 😅
BREAKING! The best ace you will ever see! After match some fight between Crepatte "You are nobody" and Rola "You are not able to play, you cant even speak". Umpire's fault here anyway, it was a clear time violation but no way she could consider Crepatte ready to play
Ivan Nedelko's opponent, 16 yo and 350+ ranked in Juniors was priced 10 before match. Here are some Nedelko's funny double faults and shots missed by miles to get broken on 0-1 and 4-5 1st. Nedelko won 46 62 61. Opponent wasn't exactly super as you can see in last part of video.
@Giampao57271089
BREAKING VIDEO! More about the umpire behaviour in that match. Said to ballgirl "“You are fantastic” “Very sexy” “Are you ok? It’s hot. Do you feel hot? Phisically or emotionally?” Is this acceptable addressed to a young girl even if said "as a joke"?
ITF 25k Pune (India) conditions: a thread.
Official hotel for main draw where all players MUST stay at least 3-4 days because of quarantine.
Covid testing: on site doctor with no uniform, no gloves.
They charged players for testing.
"The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has confirmed that 28 years old Argentinian tennis player Franco Feitt has been banned for life from the sport after admitting to multiple instances of match fixing between 2014 and 2018."
Usual stuff for a Monday morning in ITF: Franco Feitt loses 1st set against a complete amateur as 1.01 favourite pre-match: Bet365 removed 1st set market and then the whole match. Guess the result? Feitt 46 61 60. Amateur won 13 points total in set 2 and 3.
Sylvia Schenck, up a set in Guatemala ITF Main Draw Singles.
She is 55 years old and played Roland Garros and Wimbledon in...1985: her opponent was born 9 years later.
Karlovsky broken in 1st game of match, hitting 4 obvious double faults, here it is the last one: 1st serve didnt reach the net, 2nd serve almost hit Lomakin.
Forgot to put this gem yday, was recording from phone: Arias and Gomez playing under heavy rain. In this US Series they cant postpone match to day after and I guess players get paid only if they play so... this happened
Just one week later his blatant wrong mark cheating, Nino Serdarusic did it again. Again umpire checked his "wrong" mark but at least this time also that mark was judged in. Thank to
@AntoIannone95
for pointing it out. Shame on Serdarusic again.
A beaufitul sight: Gijs Brouwers hitting 4 double faults in a row (had not hit a single one till 6-2 3-4 15-0). Thanks to
@hotdog6969
for pointing it out
This is what I meant yday defining US Tennis Pro Series a complete disgrace. Livianu is a very decent ITF player and for entire matches served like this (maybe 60 kmh?) and then not going to balls close to her. Will write soon an article about this exho.
Chandril Sood, known as "suspicious" player, just did this 4-0 up against an amateur that can barely hold the racquet: 6 horrible serves and one backhand miles out
Pedja Krstin with a very suspicious results on ATP Antalya qualies: started 1.15ish, his price went UP after he broke in first game(!) . All bookmakers suspended early odds on this match. Lost 62 61. Hope someone will have a look into this.
Today I appeared on ZDF Sport Program about matchfixing in tennis: thanks a lot to
@IbraNaber
for caring about this big problem, we need more important journalists like you covering tennis integrity issues.
Maxime Hamou was 1.25 pre-match to beat Alex Lawson in Alicante Challenger qualies. Pre-match his price went to 1.7 and he is playing with zero effort. Got broken on *1-2 despite Lawson being awful with 2 dfs and 2 horrible misses like this
I made the news on some regional newspaper and video has now almost 500k views😅
I rewatched the whole match and there are a few more inappropriate moments between Moscarella and the girl but with less clear audio
