I live in France and itโs not perfect by any means but when I drive off the ferry in Dover Iโm so sad to see how shabby England looks. I know there are wonderful places but first impressions mean a lot.

Well today I became a grandmother ! My daughter five years post chemo for
#breastcancer
gave birth to a gorgeous baby boy. We will be driving up to the UK in the next few days to meet him. Thrilled beyond belief.

We have a great arrangement with our lovely neighbours. They borrow our e bikes and we borrow their pool!! I think we are very lucky.

Some lovely personal news to share. My daughter Heather is celebrating 6 years cancer free. Itโs been a very anxious wait for the last few weeks. Feeling relieved and happy!

So out for Martins birthday at a lovely restaurant in Verteuil en Charante. Four people 3 courses with nice bottle of wine + glass of wine with meal and apรฉros. ยฃ90. Good value!!

Had a lovely morning coffee with my Scottish and French neighbours. We nattered in French for 90 mins with some English when required. My French neighbour said Iโve improved so much. Feeling very pleased with myself. I also made mince pies!!

My little Cleo has been missing since we left on Friday. My french neighbour has been searching for her! In the end she asked me to record my voice calling her. She came running after 10 seconds. Obviously hiding. Phew.

My French neighbours 16 year old daughter made this for us today. Iโm just eating some. No guilt here as spent whole day in the garden. Did 16k steps and 560 zone minutes on my Fitbit. Itโs delicious by the way!
