Incorporated in 1968, the Cariboo Regional District consists of 12 electoral areas and the 4 municipalities of 100 Mile House, Quesnel, Wells & Williams Lake.
This is a gentle housekeeping request for our social media.
Unless you have a question or can constructively help one of your Cariboo neighbours, please don't post.
At this point in time we do not care about your opinion, rumours or your beliefs about this issue.

We apologize if this post is blunt but we have to have people calm, collected, and armed with the right information to make good decisions for their families and neighbors.
Thank you everyone for working with us. We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you for indulging this post.

Now that civility has returned (hopefully for good), we want to say thank you to every single one of you.
To the ones mad and glad, thank you. We need calm and clear communications at this time and you have given it to us.
If you have a question, 1-866-759-4977. (8:30am-6:00pm)
If you have a question, concern or would like a rumour dispelled, call us. It's that simple. Call and talk to a human being, that has good information and can direct you to the right resources.

Meet Lucille – She’s a model S-64E Skycrane currently fighting wildfires out of the airport at 108 Mile Ranch.
She may be a thirsty bird as she can consume up to 22,000 litres of fuel a day but she also carries 10 tonnes of water at a time!

We would like to take a moment to thank the Cariboo residents under order who are abiding to the evacuation.
We truly appreciate those who have left their homes under evacuation order and are here to support you in any way we can.
Please give us a call if you have any questions
If you're asking we turn off our comments, we say - not a chance. When Slave Lake faced Wildfire one of the last communications channels to fall was Twitter of all things.
We cannot take the chance that someone may need life-saving help so that's why we ask for calm heads.
We have had numerous instances where waterbombers and bucket helicopters have had to be grounded and it's not what we want.
Please use common sense around wildfire disaster areas.
