Desperately sad. My oldest friend’s Dad was lobotomised in Ireland in the late 60s/early 70s. He had either Parkinson’s or MS (can’t remember which) and lobotomies were trialled as treatment. He spent the remainder of his life as a very angry and disturbed man.
