Absolutely heartbreaking. ADHD support and understanding of the condition is woefully inadequate. I will alway be the biggest advocate for ADHD and mental health support as I can be because stories like these are being written way too often. 12 years old… Rest easy Riley 🤍
RIP Riley 😥 Riley Townsend, from Ashfield, who played for Kirkby Colts FC & @Terversal FC tragically took his own life aged 12, leaving his family and the wider community completely devastated. 12-year-old Riley had been diagnosed with ADHD and autism and was struggling, he was described as "polite and kind" but had "had enough" and took his own life on Sunday, September 1. The day after his death, a GoFundMe was launched to help his family cover funeral expenses. (Link in comments) Fundraiser organisers Jodie Draycott and Abi Hill said: “His parents are afraid they can’t afford to give him the send off he deserves, so we are asking people to find it in their hearts to help this family through this very painful time.” Our thoughts and prayers go out to Riley's parents, family, club and teammates. A great first trail run of 2025 at the beautiful Druridge Bay yesterday. Scenic half marathon including running over 5 of the 13.1 miles on the sand 🥵 15th/132 woman and in the top 10 for my age category 🏅 Looking forward to the many more events lined up this year 🏃🏼♀️

I’m always proud of Tom, no matter what he does. But these last few weeks he has been phenomenal. After enduring such a torrid time, to turn the experience into a positive and help educate others on the importance of looking after yourself & mental health is inspiring. Proud. ❤️
In the last week I’ve been on a 8 mile coastal walk and signed up for the ballot of the Great North Run, Spent time with my partner and seen so much more of my family. This is what’s most important 💪🏼 Used the time to clear my head and the sour taste that was left in my mouth

A fantastic morning running the beautiful Kielder half-marathon 🌳⛰️🏃🏼♀️➡️ 1,174ft of elevation in my 1st ever trail run (& 2nd ever half-marathon) and finished 10/553 women and 94/1187 overall in a time of 01:41:25 😍 Thank you @TMR_BFC for the support ❤️
