@Regraine1 @CallMeBayGirl Hmmm…think Scotland made their own mess. Arguably scotland should/could have had yellow for persistent infringements before the yellow came, in addition to the biggest injustice of the day being the lack of a penalty try Referee didn’t effect the result, Scots were a shambles

@CallMeBayGirl Pretty quiet on the penalty try not being given that kept Scotland in the game. Small mind fans blaming the ref when their team looked flat in defence, limp in attack and so desperate to do something they left their brains at home.

@gcooney93 I think you can argue that we will get every penny of the investment back At college game last year there was easy 25-30k Americans there. They generally spend big while here and for those of Irish ancestry it cements relationship with “home soil”

@RichyShea @seidodge Possibly your right- though I suspect there will be a large qty of tickets for “home” US based fans and tour operators. Either way it’s class to have this. Hopefully it goes well and first of many

@KillianM2 It sounds much better though if we get to call you a bunch of bolloxes 😉 It’s a great problem to be running out a tickets. Not a problem I thought we would ever have.

@TheIrishKieran Northern Ireland and Wales prob more comparable. Both suffer same problem being suffocated by Prem with UK football syphoning local funding from TV, , fans travelling and sponsorship etc.

Imagine the US solution for NI involved supplying UK & unionists with billions of $ of arms & letting them nurse 000’s women/children Then after the whole country was rubble forcing Irish people around Europe so that Ireland can be a holiday resort built by POTUS crooked mates.
Before the genocide, Gaza was home to 2.3 million people. Now? 1.7 million. They murdered 600,000 people… and they know it. One of the worst genocides in history played out in real time before our eyes.

@McDonnellDan @chippie1974 LOI clubs should draw a line in the sand. No player plays/trains with first team unless on pro terms & a deal that gives team leverage Noonan went to Rovers because of a contract that gives easy get out and a cheap UK transfer. League brain drain continues without proper fee

@McDonnellDan Noonan is held in same esteem as Melia- not sure his deal allows the same leverage. The point still stands. While we allow players negotiate soft deals against each other Melia will be an outlier. With min wage, player incentives etc. 1st pro contracts should have min terms

@McDonnellDan Think it’s important we look at the league. Teams are happy to take a young player from other clubs on a crappy contract (Noonan) where player holds the cards Players should go if they want- but free release on 18th birthday shouldn’t be a negotiating point between clubs/players

@chippie1974 I think we are unique in Ireland because if Brexit Melia has gone from pats for millions, both get paid. Noonan who shams signed a BS deal with will go for pennies LOI clubs need a united approach. No academy grad should be allowed play clubs off each other for a shitty deal.

@128bits_ @EverythingPats_ @SportsPeteO It’s €2m up front + add ons that could go to €4m + a sell on clause

@sinead_ryan @DerekMullendd One job? It’s like saying someone should burn their house and rebuild because you don’t like the cushions. Is this a real account or a parody? It’s not NFL- people playing 10 have a lot more to do than one job.

@s_considine Don’t think Sam was bad. Overall he should be happy with his body of work today, but no doubt plenty to work on. Today will stand him well. Also think maybe Crowley has done too well off the bench , it’s a gift to have a player of his calibre coming on.

@Tom_Tucker08 @LeinsterClub @Ben_Pearse1 One cap and retire > a career with another province. Not sure bout that. This is top end pro sports. It doesn’t exist to bend to the emotional wants of its professional employees. Leinster hoards players who would potentially flourish elsewhere (T Beirne?), IRFU should adapt

@LeinsterClub @Ben_Pearse1 Apologies-revenue closer to €100m in a normal year, not €50m Loss above wasn’t a normal year (was result of RWC expenses/lost income) Regardless- this is a big boy sport, tail can’t wag the dog. if prospective players don’t want to move 1-2hrs from dub to play that’s on them
