@Pat_Stedman Nah. Skepticism towards someone imperfect, just like we all are, whom you haven't met is pointless. Hold your skepticism for your church leaders and those around you. At least that would make more sense. You see them every day or at least a few times a week.

It's not bullshit. When bad things happen, sure, talking about it, writing about it, etc -- IS helpful to healing. But there is a point where you keep driving yourself insane with the painful memories. You're the one keeping those traumas alive after all the therapy, the meds. It doesn't mean you won't have moments of sadness if you think about it here and there, but your life won't be engulfed by those memories like it once was. One day, you'll wake up and realize you don't have to stay in that pond of sorrow forever.
