Made finals of RC DC and queued for the pro tour and worlds! Honestly a good lesson for myself about taking single events less seriously in prep and embracing the variance. Deck was fine. I'm very happy with my play the whole weekend. Very excited to get to play more big events.

@ChefGreginald I ended up deciding it was a little too big brain. We're so good at delirium and while bolt does line up well vs a couple things unholy heat is pretty amazing generally

Top 4d the modern chally yesterday with breach. Very fair normal modern magic.

@Ryyrryryryr Phelia was nice, expecially postboard with containment priests vs oculus. Blood moon is pretty bad vs leyline rhinos. Ideally I want zero.

@cetiberiojr @Mengu09 One big thing is favoring permanent based hate over conditional spells like surgical and Orim's chant because of Spyro. Was awkward with this list. You don't want to have cards stuck in your hand waiting for the right moment with 4 Spyro.

@BenFraley314 Probably not unless your meta is weird. I'm not settled on an exact list tho. Want to trim 1-2 mockingbird and maybe something else to try faebloom tricks

@BenFraley314 Preacher and sheoldred is a bit of a transformational plan for red. You can side out all your kaitos, masterminds and some sirens. I think dimir is pretty good. RG is too.

Also got my second RC qual with a similar RG list a couple weeks ago. 3 rcqs, 2 invites. Quick and easy.

@arkouh I don't rly like how it plays with kaito and I'm really trying to enable him here. Also doesn't play the best with drowner. It's a fine card. (Hand knowledge is also somewhat overrated and a bit of a crutch, but that's a whole separate topic.)

@danefont Has utility in the mirror vs kaito(activation or ninjitsu) and curiosity. Good vs all the beans decks. Some utility vs red but it is worse than the alternatives. Technically I cut bat + a removal spell for them but people play all sorts of stuff. Most people have preachers.

@Connocracy Nah not yet. Rly early on in standard testing and not too confident in anything atm.

@TanookiJJ I couldn't figure out a 15th sideboard card and didn't own more anoints in paper so I played preacher. But it's for red, UB and GB. Just kinda a small adjustment when I want avg card quality to go up.

@Cloudscraper I'm not confident but I suspect the part that makes us reasonable vs red is all the removal more so than preacher. Preacher is definitely good but didn't feel totally critical.
