11 years sober today. In my life, I've done some cool things, met some amazing people, worked on some important and interesting projects. The best thing I ever did was get and stay sober. One day at a time.
7 and a half years sober today. When waking up in my own puke and/or Urine with a bottle of Vodka next to me, I never thought I’d get here. Never give up. Change is possible if you want it. V Grateful for a sober life today x
8 years ago today, I suffered a mental breakdown and entered a Psychatric Ward. 8 years later, I’m getting ready to deliver a talk to people in the same ward tonight. My message: I’ve been where you are, There is hope and get honest and start to change your life today.
Crazy to see Labour voters saying
@Keir_Starmer
is doing a bad job because a famous Tory Voter
@JeremyClarkson
is now saying he'd vote for Starmer. How do you plan on winning elections after our worst election result since 1935 without converting voters from other parties?
It’s mad how we live in a country where if you don’t fill out a form, the Government can fine you £1000 but a government minister can spend £6000 of taxpayers money in Primark and not face any consequences
No sympathy for Mat Hancock. But I have full sympathy for his wife and kids, who have to deal with the emotions involved in this and the publicity that goes with it. As a son of a prominent party political figure, I know what that was like as a child. They deserve their privacy.
Last night, I met a homeless guy called John who moved to London last year for a job he lost in May. He is sober and tries to raise £17 to stay in a shelter each day. What happens to him and 1000s of others now? If we are protecting the vulnerable, the homeless should be included
When drinking:
- I slept nights on the streets
- spent nights in police cells
- couldn’t be trusted by even my best mate
Now sober:
- I’ve done talks in prisons
- set up a homeless charity
- was best man at his wedding and am godfather to his son.
I know which life is better..
Let's be honest, if you want to play for Torino over OM, you want a comfortable life, less pressure and to stay in your comfort zone. No other reason. So not worth it anyway.... Move on Pablo. Find some players with the courage and balls to enter the cauldron...
Torino are now confident to hijack the deal for Ivan Ilić — Olympique Marseille had full agreement on club and player side but Ilić could change his mind 🚨🇷🇸

#OM
Torino would sign Ilić immediately and not in July as OM agreed with Verona.
Marcelo Bielsa spent yesterday evening baking cakes for the training ground staff at Thorp Arch (Leeds' training ground). Here's one that he has delivered to the groundsmen today. He's loved everywhere he goes by so many because he does things like this. Long live King Bielsa
I’m sorry but
@BorisJohnson
is so bad at PMQs. He has no grasp of detail, research or grip. The odd funny remark is all we get. It’s pathetic. Starmer has killed him with the forensic approach in this format once again
9 years sober today.
I can’t stress how much better the last 9 years have been than the 9 years before March 11th 2013.
If you want and need sobriety, you can stop. And you will not regret.
Just spent my 32nd birthday talking to a bunch of alcoholics like me about what it was like drunk compared with my superior life sober. The greatest birthday present I could ask for. A proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous for more than 8 years now

43 years together
Almost 37 years as parents
Almost 35 years as my parents
As solid and strong as ever. Lovely to spend an evening with the 2 people who made my life possible.
Proud to be a Millar and a Campbell 🏴
You have to understand the mythical and magical passion that is OM to understand why. It is more than a club, it is a passion that sits within the heart of anyone infected by it. Every kid or adult that gets taken in by OM dreams of wearing that jersey. There are few clubs in the
Along with a huge financial package, Ndiaye was also offered the

I woke up emotional early this morning as I turn 8 years sober today. Undoubtedly the most crazy sober year so far. There will be many people out there depending on alcohol/drugs to cope during this time. But It doesn’t have to be that way. One day at a time. Never give up.
Malinovskyi has chosen OM over Tottenham Hotspur. Wander of a left foot. Scores goals, creates goals.
This shows the progress made under Pablo Longoria. 2 years ago, players were not picking us over clubs like Tottenham. Pablo is making OM great again.

5 years ago today I had my last drink. The last 5 years have been hard but the best of my life. If you have a serious problem with alcohol/any addiction, all I can say is getting sober is the best decision I ever made. I’m looking forward to picking up my 5 year chip later. 👍
For 2100 days, I’ve not touched any alcohol. For that, I thank so many people, especially the great fellows of mine in Alcoholics Anonymous. For anyone suffering with addiction, it doesn’t have to be the way it is for you right now. A sober life is worth living. Thank you ❤️
I don’t understand how Brendan Rodgers and Frank Lampard are up for Manager of the year ahead of Sean Dyche? Of course, Klopp or Wilder should win but relative to size of club and budget, Dyche has done a better job than either Lampard or Rodgers surely
Prediction - before the start of Ligue 1, L’Equipe will put out a story about how Marcelino is struggling to gain the trust of certain players. The aim will be to unsettle OM and the fans. Every season, it’s the same. Negative fake stories to unsettle. Don’t fall for it
There’s still 6-7 weeks to go in the transfer window
It’s fair to say
@OM_Officiel
are one of the major stories of the window so far 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Watch this space…. A lot more to come
Pablo and Javier, making OM great again 🇫🇷❤️
Priti Patel found guilty of breaking the ministerial code - in other words bullying her own staff. PM decides not to sack her. Where are all those “moral” Tories complaining about discrimination within Labour when it concerns their own party? Can’t see many...
This is a massive day for the future of our democracy. We should all have the right to protest on any subject. All protests cause offence to some. So what... Any member of Parliament who votes with the Government is voting for the start of the end of democracy.
Mr
@RishiSunak
is your typical “compassionate” Tory. He smiles and presents himself as an engaging nice and smart guy. He then gets asked about a colleague found guilty of bullying. “She’s not guilty”. But bullying is “unacceptable”. Morally bankrupt.
B Johnson is keen to keep Cummings because:
1) Cummings runs the Gov and Boris’ operation crumbles without him
2) He knows where the dodgy money from Russia came from and they are scared he will tell
3) Cummings is not a traditional Tory. He can’t be trusted once he’s gone
Quite a few people on here tonight criticising Sean Dyche for making a completely valid point about vaccinating footballers ASAP to be able to redistribute the money that goes towards testing them into the NHS. Nothing he said was controversial. It was a concise interesting point
Former Marseille player
@Joey7Barton
and his son Cassius will be joining us in the away section at Tottenham on Wednesday evening.
Make them feel the love les gars. Forza
@OM_Officiel
How can anyone still like
@BorisJohnson
. He’s incompetent, arrogant, complacent and lazy. An embarrassment to have as our PM. It’s like he’s learnt absolutely nothing in 8 months during a global pandemic where his job is to learn as much as possible as quickly as possible
UK had more than 50,000 new covid-19 cases today.
Japan had 3,431 new cases today. Tokyo had 1,271.
Why are the UK media reporting it like Japan is the country with a covid crisis?
“Where’s the Left’s outrage about this”.
1) She admitted she had done wrong
2) She resigned
3) She didn’t help set the rules. Your Eugenics obsessed hero did.
It’s not hard boys and girls
A friend has been staying with me for 24 hours. When she arrived, she felt mentally broken. Had no positivity for life. She's now dancing with one of my neighbours and smiling. It's amazing how quick life can turnaround. If you're struggling, keep going. She approved this message
Ndiaye never told Sheff Utd that he wants to stay.
The issue was always the negotiation on the £ between the clubs. I've always maintained that I am confident that will be overcome, especially now Sheff Utd have signed a replacement striker...

if it had been Messi or Mbappe, the punishment for Lyon would be far more severe.
A league corrupted by money. Bent referees helping PSG every week. Disgusting decisions. No protection for our players.
Only a few say it publicly but it’s true. One day it will all be public 💵
He always wanted to come home. Sheff Utd always wanted to frame it as “we tried everything to keep him” which I totally understand.
OM and the Sheff Utd CEO have built a good relationship 🤝
🔜 🇸🇳
Marseille are hoping to sign Iliman Ndiaye for around £15m. Ndiaye was initially prepared to stay at United but after a breakdown in talks, the Blades would rather get money now than lose him for free next summer.

It's crazy how quickly supposedly traditional Conservative MPs can go from preaching the values of "honesty, integrity and decency above all else" to defending and admiring "the humility" of the Prime Minister.
Practice what you preach or alternatively, don't preach.

Of course you would. A night out with your pals in Birmingham. Football isn’t just about 90 minutes. It’s about the day out, the camaraderie, the belonging. Hibs can be proud of their club and culture even if the players can’t compete. It’s no surprise they can’t compete. EPL
The fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous celebrated its 87th birthday in the UK yesterday. It has saved many many lives over the years across the UK and the wider world, including mine.
Happy birthday to all my fellow sober friends and to those wanting what we have found.
Any OM fans coming from Marseille on Wednesday, Tottenham have a ridiculous rucksack policy for away fans. Unless they adapt the rule for European games, the rule is any fans entering the stadium have to leave bags at a storage centre and pay £10 to leave it there. Worth noting
Not to excuse a poor performance so far but I’ve watched 45 minutes of a referee giving every decision possible to Panathanikos and ignoring lots of fouls on OM players. Ridiculous refereeing
Where do they find these frauds

Burnley is a special club. Sam Vokes left us in January. His Dad still comes to watch due to the friendships he developed. We hugged when Jay scored the winner today. And he said to me “I wish Sam was still here you know”. Few clubs would have ex players’ parents following them.
Someone I got sober with died in Holland today. He had been clean for years until a month ago. Out of nowhere, he had a thought to use drink/drugs and a month later we are having to think about his funeral. Addiction is a powerful disease and can hit at any time. RIP “Utrecht” 😢
Just look what it means to him. Jay Rodriguez is a Burnley boy through and through. What a goal that was to score in a win at Old Trafford for your home town club. He’s one of our own. 💜💙⚽️👊
@TonyBellew
shameless tweet. You're meant to be an anti drugs campaigner. He's not been cleared fully of drug use. You know it. I know it. Matchroom's PR machine can't change it.
The Labour Party will not win a General election until the approach of the party is not to shame or denigrate people who don’t share the values/ideas of the party membership. If the last 5 years have taught anything, it’s time to stop lecturing and start listening. Or keep losing
This is my 6th sober Christmas. The first two were hard to not feel isolated throughout. But it has got much easier with time each year. For anyone in early sobriety who is anxious about Christmas, 1) it gets easier and 2) you can still have a good time without a drink 👍
The thing that impresses me the most is the grind of Ribalta
Relentless. Talking to many players, running a matrix to get to the recruitment goal per position. Constantly grinding as OM fans demand. Inspires me to work harder in my own life. Never stop grinding for success ⚪️🔵
✈️ Understand Ismaïla Sarr will fly to Marseille camp in Germany tonight — he’s coming to OM.
Medical tests now booked on Monday morning.
Here we go, confirmed ⚪️🔵✔️
A good mate drank again this week after many years of sobriety. A man who embodied living sober far more than I ever have. The addict’s mind tricks people into believing it’s ok to drink again. It’s a disease and it really is one day at a time. Can never get complacent with 🍺
Burnley fans - an Everton fan called Speedo Mick is walking across the UK in his speedos for a charity looking to help disadvantaged kids. There will be buckets outside the away end to donate to a great cause. Or contribute here online. A worthy cause

on his approach until now. But now is the time to show proper Strong opposition. The Tory Government take next to zero responsibility for their response, the lack of equipment and the most deaths in Europe due to the virus. Time for a 🥊 Keir
The UK Government sent out Priti Patel to do the media talking about how there should be consequences for the BBC following the Martin Bashir story. The audacity they have to do this is pretty extraordinary

25 or so people came to be fed before 6.30pm. So we decided to keep going with this until 8pm as it’s been successful. Anyone struggling who wants to be fed, come down to our restaurant in the next hour and we will look after you. 784 Holloway Road, Archway, London 💖
This takes place tomorrow. Any local residents struggling as we head towards the end of the month + rough sleepers + people in sheltered housing, you’re welcome to come and eat at our restaurant for free. 👍
Woke up feeling incredibly sad. Dame Barbara Windsor was not only an iconic British actress but a great woman. Very supportive of me when I got sober. She lived an extraordinary life. My thoughts and prayers go out to her husband Scott and the wider family.
6 days ago, I turned 1900 days sober. One day at a time since day 1, I do wrong sometimes but I don’t drink. If you’re in early recovery it gets easier. I lost a lot through drink - jobs, friends, amazing women. Now I have almost everything back. Sobriety works if you need it 👍
This is my friend Pilar Jauregui. She once made the mayor of Lima join her on the streets in her wheelchair to see what it was like for wheelchair users. The experience shocked him. So he introduced legislation to enforce better accessibility in certain districts in Lima. 👏👏👏

Cool picture of my brother and I outside the Stade Velodrome 24-25 years ago. I’m honoured to say I’ve been to the Velodrome every season since 1994-95 and that will continue for the rest of my life, health permitting. 🤍💙
On this day in 1947, the 1st recorded UK meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous was held at the Dorchester Hotel. An incredible fellowship entered the UK that has gone on to change the lives of millions of people around the world in over 170 countries. God bless those pioneers...
7 years ago today I went to my first AA meeting. It took 2 years longer to get sober but it’s been some ride. I’ve met most of the great people in my life through Alcoholics Anonymous. It’s an honour today to have the chance to pass on a message to others that sobriety works.

Huddersfield have potentially missed out on a return to the Premier League and all the £ involved because VAR officials watching a tv screen didn't see a trip from behind as a penalty.
Worth over £100m. Yet VAR officials don't have to explain themselves. Disgrace
I want to thank and give special credit to

tonight. He took about 300 photos with OM fans today between the pub, the march from Seven Sisters to the stadium and within the stadium too.
Not sure how he had the energy to do it all night. OM for life. As am I.
