🎙️ Chris Wilder on the subs "I thought Rhian and Jes had an impact. They're both pushing. Couldn't get Cal on the pitch. There has to be that competition, which there certainly will be. If we have to change it around on Wednesday and for Saturday then we will do but we have to be so much better." #twitterblades #sufc

🎙️ Chris Wilder "They won first and second balls and we talked about it at half time. It's Championship football, it's not lets just turn up and stroll around and think we're this footballing side that can out-football teams all over the place. This is Championship football and at times it's about first and second balls and playing forward and playing effective football and earning the right and we didn't do any of that at all first half. All this stuff about xG and this and that and connected passes and stuff like that, the game will never change. It'll never change. It will be about that first thing has to come first and it didn't come first today. It came first in parts 2nd half but we gave too many freekicks away that allowed them to pump the ball in and they're game. They should've beat Burnley last week but they haven't beat us so that's a bonus for us but they quite easily could've if they took their chances. If I'm their manager I'd be extremely disappointed. Today wasn't good enough. Last week I can give them a little leeway because the pitch was really poor and they go man for man all over and we've got new players, today that excuse was gone and we need to be better individually and overall." #twitterblades #sufc

🎙️ Chris Wilder on individual performances "All over the park I didn't think we were very good. I thought Harry Clarke came in to the game 2nd half against a difficult opponent but the back 4 never saw out corner runs, we defended the box poorly, they should've been 2 up at half time, our two centre-halves got bullied all over the place, I thought Harrison wasn't at the races, the two midfield players their distance was too far apart, two centre-forwards never held it up, didn't get anything off the right first half. Gus was our best player by a million miles all game." #twitterblades #sufc

🎙️ Chris Wilder on the reason for the poor performance "If somebody comes on and goes 'tactically this that and the other', it wasn't anything to do with tactics today. It was about an attitude towards the game which I told them at half time. It's quite difficult because I know all those players but we looked to shortcut the game, which is really surprising. We won't do that again. We looked like we had an arrogance about us. I want us to have belief, to be confident, stick your chest out and believe we've got some good players and a good team, because we are because we've won as many games as anybody in the division and sit on 60-odd points. The reaction second half was better even though it wasn't to my unbelievable liking. There was a little bit of arrogance at half time, which I talked about. We can't afford that to happen so a massive reflection on the game tonight by the players, by myself and the staff, there'll be a review on Monday morning about it but we have a lovely habit of winning games of football, which is massively important. If we achieve what we want to achieve maybe this is a distant memory but it isn't a distant memory now, it's a memory that is going to be in my head all over the weekend and in to the players because if we think that is going to be the standard performance we're going to get hurt and we aren't going to achieve anything." #twitterblades #sufc

🎙️ Chris Wilder on the performance "I think something that Sheffield United fans have come to expect from me, and I'd like to think respect, I think there's a few managers and there still is a load of managers that want to spin and talk about the game and spin how good they are and spin the game and say 'we were okay' and 'we deserved this' and 'we should've won 4-0' and 'we should've been 5-0 up at half time', I've never been one of those. Maybe it's my roots and where I'm from and where I live, can't con the supporters. We weren't very good today and it's as simple as that. It was one that we've sort of escaped with because they have the ability to win a game of football when we didn't play very well and we didn't. They were better than us in all departments, first and second balls." #twitterblades #sufc

🎙️ Rak-Sakyi on competition "Everyone wants to play, everyone's here to play, everyone's pushing each other so it makes training 10 times harder and it sets the standards high. It's good to have a lot of good players around to help the team because at the end of the day we all want to be successful at the end of the season." #twitterblades #sufc

🎙️ Rak-Sakyi on impacting the game as a sub "It's important. At the end of the day we all want to achieve the same thing at the end of the season so if you're on the pitch when you get the chance to it's about doing the job for the team and it was good to score today and great pass from Rhian." #twitterblades #sufc

🎙️ Rak-Sakyi on scoring the winner "It was good, always nice to get on the scoresheet. Obviously it wasn't the best performance from the team today, which we know, but it's important that we build from it and we're happy to get the 3 points." #twitterblades #sufc
