Here are 4 Lolas spanning a decade. Same basic design concepts. Same nose shape. Same suspensions! Evolutions, yes, but not total overhauls.
Meanwhile the DW12 aero has been fully redesigned 3 times and even the tub has been significantly modified.

It's just flabbergasting to me that

is considering fining tracks for not reaching 70% attendance but is at the same time so openly contemptuous of their paying live audience as they've been today.
Rain happens, but this whole deal has been poorly managed front to back.

I caught sight of a few of the spare movie cars during a walk by Lake Lloyd that Friday night. Some of the haulers by there had SRO World Challenge decals on them, seems like some of those teams were assisting as well.

The Speed Channel firesuits on the Fox Sports guys is a nice touch.
This really is the last Speed legacy race, in a way. NASCAR is all that's left, and that's what really drove the end of the channel, so I'm not counting that.

I had a thought today about how much the internet has changed things. That kid is not me but might as well be. Used to drag my parents into Toys R Us once a week to see if there was anything new. No surprises anymore, it's all a Google search away. Miss that magic.
