Notably, Kenya recently waived the eTA requirement for 52 African countries, fostering regional integration and ease of travel. The delegation was hosted by PS @JuliusKBitok alongside Amb.Isaac Ochieng DG eCitizen, @EvelynCheluget (DG Immigration), and other departmental heads.

Interior CS @kipmurkomen on Tuesday lauded the progress made in expediting the issuance of birth certificates, National IDs, passports and other registration and identity documents. Speaking at Nyayo House during a familiarization visit hosted by PS @JuliusKBitok , he noted the waiting periods for the critical documents has been slashed by more than 20 days. The CS also hailed @eCitizenKenya for successfully onboarding over 22,000 govt services that are now conveniently accessible online and the subsequent substantive growth of daily revenue collection. The CS who also addressed senior Department’s officials promised to build on the success of his predecessors at the Ministry of Interior @InteriorKE to optimize service delivery by addressing challenges around inadequate staffing and resource allocation.

During his maiden visit to Nyayo House, CS @kipmurkomen accompanied by PS @JuliusKBitok engaged with citizens accessing services, listening to their experiences and appreciating their feedback. He was particularly impressed with the significantly reduced waiting times, reflecting the department’s commitment to excellence.
