@chris_awk According to the NCAA RPI, in terms of the average strength of its opponents, the Big West ranks #16 . But in terms of the average RPI Strength of Schedule contribution of its opponents, it ranks #22 . Think the RPI vastly underrates the Big West? It does.

@chris_awk Going into game, K State's RPI rank was 193. Their RPI Strength of Schedule contributor rank, however, was 271. That is why BYU dropped. Go figure!

@SteveCoxonCSN @ImYouthSoccer Yes, reasons vary widely. Portland's 7 include 5 who graduated with an additional year of covid-related eligibility. Portland helped them find new homes, so it could regularize its recruiting. Another transferred to focus on track. And one transferred for more playing time.

@ImYouthSoccer Given that there are more than 7000 WSOC D1 players, that makes the transfers about 3/10 of a percent of all players. In other words, far fewer than one might imagine.
