Paying off your house doesn’t increase your net worth. It just shifts your net worth to more illiquid equity and limits options for growth. You’re now relying solely on your house for growth and giving up diversification and income.

They totally miss the concept and ignore the impact when the house is paid off—the equity and growth, the ability to take the 180 payments, and the wealth they create. Pay off the house—instant equity of $132,000, which, according to you, is growing at 3.61% = $224,697.91.

Added our 16 year old (congrats on passing driving test!) to our auto insurance...4 cars/drivers, standard coverage in Dallas...went from $5632/yr to over $9000/yr. How do middle class families with 4 drivers afford auto insurance? #insurance #progressiveinsurance
