My resolution, Item 99, which asks the City Manager to implement policies related to police oversight that came from Prop A regarding investigations, training, & reporting by the OPO was adopted. ATX overwhelmingly approved this measure - I look forward to seeing it in action.

To put this impact into context, the closing of this shelter will result in Austin losing 10% of its emergency shelter capacity. This shelter is critical to D9 and is the only one that offers beds to single women - it’s the largest shelter accepting women & children in ATX.
