This week, I toured the WSSC Consolidated Lab Facility, located in District 5. They’re expanding so they can do more analysis and quality testing in-house.
Not having to send out samples and wait means a greater ability to catch issues immediately, before they hit our faucets.

Early this morning, there was a fire contained to an apartment on the 19th floor of the Enclave. Two residents were transported to the hospital in serious condition.

We need a housing strategy that includes, in part, affordable housing, social housing, zoning — AND rent stabilization.
Allowing rent increases way over the rate of wage growth and the rate of inflation means residents will continue to be displaced.
