Reached a major milestone in my life today! As a father of 2, a husband, & a coach with multiple hustles. I can say confidently that getting my Masters Degree in the midst of it all is one of the greatest accomplishments of my life! Breaking old cycles & setting new standards! 🙏🏽

Few thoughts after digesting the first few games as a Head Coach:. -As an Assistant, I loved 7:00 PM games. As a Head Coach, I wish every game was at 2:00 PM 😂. -You find out who’s really in your corner after losses. -I will NEVER take running my own program for granted! 🙏🏽.

Few takeaways from my first few days in Oregon:. 1. They pump your gas for you! (Never had that done for me before😂).2. The coffee is ELITE.3. The people are great.4. It doesn’t get dark until 9:15 PM.5. No traffic (If you know, you know). Beyond excited for this new journey! 🙏🏽

I will never understand why kids pay money to go to showcases then choose to not play defense or give max effort. Not to mention the risk of playing during a pandemic. You might as well chill at the crib and go for a daily jog to get your cardio.

I use to think life was so hard with practice, school, and HW! Now I have work, bills, fatherhood, cleaning, organizing, husband duties, and more. Players, don’t take for granted the extra time coaches spend with you, it means more than you know! 🤝.

The relationship side of coaching is my favorite aspect. I rarely text my players, I FaceTime them. The interpersonal aspect of a face to face conversation helps the relationship grow. Not a lot of things I wouldn’t do for a current or former player of mine! #ItsAForeverThing 🤞🏽.

@Coach_Payne We have a JV program. You play 12-15 COLLEGE BASKETBALL GAMES, serve as the scout team to our main squad at most practices, get gear and receive SCHOLARSHIP MONEY!. We pull 2-3 up to travel on the road and dress for games. OPPORTUNITY!!. Coaches: @jasonsmarr10 & @Domo_sama_.

The harsh reality about this virus is that entrepreneur like myself and many others have no way of generating income right now. I work 4 different jobs, train full time and drive shuttles during the week to pay bills and stay afloat. The work is put on hold why aren’t the bills?.

Mannn what a morning! Walmart and Target are out of pools. Had to go on OfferUp. Got finessed by a lady for $35 for a pool that doesn’t even stand up. Managed to make it work. Had to take 97 trips from the sink to the pool to fill it up. My son better NEVER question my love! 😂
