I’ll forever stand on this…. Connecting with your players is WAY more important than X’s and O’s. You’ll be surprised how much a player grows and how confident they play when they coach can speak they language.
Coach Prime gave out sunglasses to his players today. I’ve been doing this 33 years. I’ve never seen a coach connect with players like this. Speaks their language. Has the similar playlists. Has an incomparable resume. Excelled on their field & coaching💯

College coaches are pretty good at telling if you have a feel for the game and can score even if you didn’t in the game. They are trying to see what “little things” and intangibles do you have…. And if you can defend.

I played on the Freshman team in High School. Didn’t see the varsity floor much until late sophomore year and became an All Trinity league/All CIF guard by my senior year.
From personal experience, trusting the development process is key. Everyone runs a different race. 🏁🤞🏽

HS Hoopers🏀: Division 3 is a GREAT option to consider. There are very good players and schools can make it work financially. Trust me from experience. 🙇🏽

I said it today… the only practice time in college basketball you’re most likely “healthy” is the first day of workouts/practice. You’re going to be tired, hungry, and banged up you’re entire season. That’s where the mental toughness comes in.
