First thoughts on the Series X: Solid and so well built, feels really premium. Absolutely Silent, can't understate this. Expansion card plugged in before setting up, was just there ready to go once setup was complete. Dashboard is crazy quick and so slick. Controller is awesome!

Dirt 5 looks great fun and I will be playing it but people shouldn't expect it to be the next gen game that blows you away on Xbox Series or PS5. From a development point of view you have to remember about art style, engine etc. and this is their first cross gen game release.

So, some findings with Valhalla. As

pointed out, even with vrr some areas of Lunden caused some tearing. As an experiment I uninstalled the game, restarted the Series X and then re-installed the game. Those areas were now perfect and the game feels 'even' smoother 1/2

It looks like the incorrect configuration is being loaded up in performance mode. The same video shows the PS5’s 120hz mode dropping to the 90’s so definitely seems like a big to me. People need to calm down if they think the series x is underpowered.
