Wait a minute- why is Charlie’s default Pin a reward on the pass? You always get the default Pin with a Brawler, and I don’t see her Phew pin on the pass, either.

Okay, this is a rant thread because I feel upset right now, and need to rant about something. I want to talk about why I do not like Starr Drops, and why I feel they are hurting the game. I imagine this will fall on deaf ears, and I’ll be criticized for this. I don’t care.

I really wish Jacky would get some love.
We now have two Brawlers this year that just has her attack, but better. Sure, R-T only has it when he’s split, but you get the point.
And Hank’s main attack is just a Jacky attack you can aim. I quite like Jacky, but she needs something

My personal thoughts on which 49 Gem skins are worth 79, and which aren’t.
I think Logmas Spike is debatable, since it lacks custom animations, but the effects and model changes are very noticeable, enough that I think it warrants the price. (1/2)

This is probably a personal thing, but I always love taking those blind Hail Mary shots with her Super. Hitting an enemy far offscreen without even knowing is one of the most satisfying things in the game.
But I can see the argument for making it more consistent.

Everything about AI creations is just repugnant to me.
It’s an insult to those who work tirelessly to hone their crafts- voice actors, artists, writers, to name a few. It’s artless, and in the case of something like this, insulting to those whose voice you are ripping off.

So, my biggest problem with Starr Drops is the mere fact they exist. They went through all the trouble of removing boxes last December, coming up with a system I personally liked much more. I never disliked Boxes- as a beta player, I knew them like the back of my hand.

Discovered a bug with Cordelius where he will gain the movement speed and reload speed buffs even if an enemy Cordelius uses his Super on him.
Surely has to be an oversight.

But, if you are going to go through all of that to remove something that was in the game for years, and you don’t even commit to it for a full year, I question what the point was of even changing things at all. Just keep boxes. And that’s not even getting into why Drops exist.

I don’t think I’ve changed my thoughts on any Brawler quite like I have with Maisie.
When she was first revealed, I didn’t really like her. But over time, I grew to really like her design, personality, and playing her is a blast (ha).
Also, this Pin is precious.

They exist because Supercell heard people missed the surprise factor associated with boxes. Which, sure. I understand that. But it really does feel like they made Starr Drops solely to appeal to that sector of the playerbase, and nothing more.

To sum up, I’ll just say that Starr Drops are not for me. And you need to understand I am not speaking objectively- it is all my opinion. You are more than free to like what you like. But as someone who loves Brawl Stars, I cannot look at Drops and see them as good for the game.

Why is this an issue? They’re rng. And the rarities just tip you off to how bad it’ll be. Rares are a wash, Super Rares are barely better. I am grateful they removed Gagdets and lower value cosmetics from Legendary Drops, to give them some needed value.

If I’m going to be frank, and this may sound harsh, but there are millions of other gacha games out there, if that’s what you all want. But we got it back in Brawl- now look upon the current day, where they are infesting every part of the game, and dimishing rewards elsewhere.

Kit wasn’t this bad. He was bad, but not to this extent. Really think we need to hit reset on this meta. Lots of changes need to be made.

I’m mostly fine with him, but that second Gadget has got to go. Him having a mini Otis Super on top of everything else he has is just too much.
Obviously, they need to nerf him in other ways too, but this should be where they start.

I don’t like being a negative Nancy, but it doesn’t look like they changed much at all. Looks like they’re throwing more into it in the hopes it sticks. I’m not so optimistic.
Also, the game subtitle is “Welcome to Zomburbia” but we’re still saving Neighborville? So strange.

Let’s look at the changes we have gotten recently- Mega Pig, revolves around Starr Drops. New Brawl Pass, will contain Starr Drops. I want to emphasize that, because the saving grace about Starr Drops before was that they were all free. Not anymore.

I love Brawl Stars, I’ve been playing it for over 5 years. Changes like these are not beneficial to the game. They only limit options or subtract, while punishing F2P.

I have never liked Starr Drops, and I doubt I will ever like them. It is so rare you get something even decent from them. At least for me. I love busting my butt to get 8 wins, and get three Rares. Boxes were nowhere near this inconsistent.
