@HopNApple @corinne_fowler It only applies if you are talking about people of Indigenous, African, Asian, or Latin American descent collectively. Such as if you were commenting on their shared experiences of colonialism or racism. Such generalisations should be used sparingly, but they have a purpose

@corinne_fowler The term itself can be empowering in the right context such as when taking a global perspective, but I don't think it is necessary here to generalise (and homogenise) such a small number of people
