Best individual defenders in power-6 conferences last season
—Bama ended with the 2nd most efficient offense and 111th defense per KP. They add Cliff Omoruyi, an elite rim defender. Blocked 12.8% of 2PA when he was on, best mark in D1. Also had the best DBPM in the Big10 at +5.1

...uses his length well (7'1, 7'5 wing). Solid touch but an area he could improve in. If he is hitting consistent 8ft jump hooks he has a shot at NPOY. Shot 19 3s last year and rumors this year will be more. Should be a favorite for NDPOY. Excellent rim protector.

Watching this play, it's clear how huge Scheierman's ball handling and playmaking skills are. He is a premier spot-up & movement shooter, but he has legit ability to attack closeouts and not only make shots inside the arc but find teammates off help...

7th in the top 10 player duos is Providence. Carter and Hopkins are coming off great sophomore seasons with a lot of room to grow.
Hopkins is a do-it-all guy. Hybrid forward that can score on three levels, playmake, and hold his own physically on D and on the glass.

In a nutshell, all of Creighton’s issues this year have come because they play with no physicality aside from kalk sometimes. They are:

Liberty MBB lead college basketball last year in Defensive Rebounding % with a rate of 81.3%!!! Since his first season at Liberty, Coach McKay's Flames have never fallen below 75% in Def Reb rate and have ranked over 80% three of the last 6 season!
