Best individual defenders in power-6 conferences last season —Bama ended with the 2nd most efficient offense and 111th defense per KP. They add Cliff Omoruyi, an elite rim defender. Blocked 12.8% of 2PA when he was on, best mark in D1. Also had the best DBPM in the Big10 at +5.1

The P&R between Kolek and Ighodaro will remain one of the toughest plays to guard in college basketball. You probably know about Kolek's absurd playmaking ability (7.5 ast, 3rd in NCAA), so I will not go on any further about that. Kolek is a guy that is situationally great.

finishing due to 6'7 frame really give him an advantage. I think in a situation like this Hawk would've attacked the closeout and tried to get to the rim. But if the help stops him, I'm not sure Hawk has the poise to find who the help is off of & keep the ball moving. Baylor does

More ACC/Big Ten Challenge games tonight, including Ohio State playing at Duke. Ohio State's freshman duo of Sensabaugh and Thornton have been lighting it up from three this year. We'll see if they can handle the crowd in Cameron Indoor.

However he maintained a 2.1 ast/to, 93rd %ile, and was in the 86th %ile for ast%. His playmaking skills are very impressive for an 18 y/o playing in high major. His scoring efficiency numbers improved in the 2nd half of the year from the 1st, and the consensus seems to be...

UConn's KenPom AdjEM is gonna be insane after this game It's currently 34.09, 8th highest in KP era (since '99) Highest ever is '99 Duke at 43.01 which is absolutely absurd. Next 2 highest are '01 Duke at 37.32 and '15 Kentucky at 36.91. I think UConn could end up in that range

@DraftPow It's more of a fun idea I thought of because most player ratings put all the emphasis on counting stats or efficiency stats. So PCS combines both in what I think is an effective rating, but theres not really a strong statistical backbone yet

Coming into tonight Texas Tech's adj. efficiency margin was 19 points worse with Warren Washington off the court vs on, per Red Raiders running out of gas without their center tonight. No one above 6'8 playing for Tech, and Baylor has 11 ORB

Kansas will come into the season as a consensus top 3 team and #1 for many. They got the prize of the portal in Dickinson, but many question the spacing they can provide around him Here are the scoring numbers inside and outside the arch for non-freshman. Are they your #1 ?

Working on a Shiny app to make custom CBB scatter plots with team logos. Not done yet but it is ready for testing: As far as I know this is the only free resource of the kind. Would be super helpful if anyone interested can try it out and give feedback!

An interesting look at mid-major efficiency using average lines of Power teams. SDSU and New Mexico only teams above P6 average in both off and def efficiency. Dayton, FAU, Indiana State, and CSU well over P6 average off efficiency.
