Tribal Identity is mostly a function of legal dictates and only has a little to do with actual blood quantum. Most tribes have different rules and regulations concerning tribal enrollment. Many cases of intermarriage prior to the official dates of tribal enrollment where the tribally affiliated people chose to identify as white rather than “Indian” so many Americans carry native blood but have no claim to tribal identity.

@ArableSam @Kurt_Steiner @Empty_America It is very common in Oklahoma to meet blue or green eyed enrolled Choctaw citizens with red or blonde hair. Same with many other tribes as well.

By the 1820-1830s when Choctaws were forcibly relocated from the SE USA to what would become Indian territory, many prominent tribal leaders were already only 1/4 or 1/8 tribal blood quantum with the remainder often being from Scottish or Irish Backcountry traders who had intermarried with the tribes for generations before the Trail of Tears.

@Empty_America I don’t see why it would be hard to brush hog some paths through it and string out some electric fence and make the cattle work through it a small patch at a time till they eat it all. I think it is just a deal that no one wants to do it??

@petroquestions @samdknowlton Hog industry is much more consolidated than the beef industry but overall this has led to the same phenomena, but with hogs being a monogastric, dependent on concentrate feed stuffs, management much more efficiently manages the efficiency effect on production versus harvest.

Return to the producer versus return to the packer are two separate things. The smaller cattle might be better for the producer in terms of efficiency, but they get docked in the live auction process. A 1500 lb steer that is fat will bring more $/lb than one that reaches the same finish at 1200 lbs. A 1700 lb cull cow will bring much more $/lb than a 900 lb one.

@petroquestions @samdknowlton Packer profits. Each spot on the slaughter line is allocated a certain amount of time, labor and other resources. Bigger cattle reduces the cost of each of these components per unit sold.

This offers a unique opportunity to enterprising Americans in service and infrastructure development industries. Provide Concierge services to America Ex-Pats.
1/ American woman moves to Spain and eventually gets fed up with the lousy cuisine, weird hours, lack of air-conditioning, etc. For American expats, Spain is in the "uncanny valley" -- it looks like a functioning country, but it's not quite there.

@untappedgrowth @riley_sides Depending on the river, applying for an irrigation permit and irrigating from a river is relatively straightforward in Oklahoma.

I remember vividly the free roam I was given to wander the backseat of a 1984 Chevrolet Caprice Classic. Dad bought it with the Diesel motor and it had plush velvet interior that was luxe.
1980s GM might be the ultimate American forever platform. An insane level of parts interchange and commonality all the way from a dually, to suburban, to blazer, to compact PU, to sedan. Even the diesel interchanged with the gas motors.

@Empty_America Yeah it is pretty much a bolt in adaptation in most cases with adaptable plug and play electronics.

Consolidation completely integrated the pork and chicken industries. Beef feeders, packers and processors have all undergone the same process of consolidation, but the cow calf and stocker sectors are resistant to this type of consolidation for just the reason you stated. However many, maybe most, hobby beef producers produce calves for these consolidated groups of feeders and packers at a price that subsidizes the production from the hobbyist pockets.

Many of those on disability identify with whatever diagnosis they are given from medical professionals, more than happy to play into their con for financial gain. The problem is that when they identify with the diagnosis the cure is always something external rather than an internal change of lifestyle that would really change the diagnosis in many cases. This becomes even more difficult to change when there is a financial incentive to remain “disabled”.

@PatrickHeizer @Empty_America @pmarca Most of the ones I do are 2’ bury depth, occasionally a 3’. Deeper ones will cost more! That 2500’ of water line will add up quickly too!
