I watched tonight sitting next to a 30 year old Russian fan named Viktor. We communicated awkwardly but with a smile & a common love of hockey. As the game ended, he shook my hand, gave me a quick hug and left. That’s sports baby- nothing better. 👍🏻🇨🇦🇷🇺

10 days ago I developed a bleeding ulcer & was hospitalized for five days. While under their care, it was discovered I also had a tumour... sadly... its stomach cancer. While the long term prognosis for me isn’t available yet, I’m ready to take this thing on with all my strength.

surgery in 2020, I lost 125lbs over seven months and bottomed out at scary 138lbs. So I made it my goal to recover to 165. It’s taken three years and today… FINALLY… got there! 😃

Completed a full CT Scan at Cross Cancer Institute. My Doctor says there's no signs of any cancer spread or anything of concern. Very positive news for me. We'll meet next week to plot the next few months in hopes of beating this thing. Thanks to everyone for your support.

Two years today my family was told I may NOT survive my stomach cancer surgery. Complications from the 8 hour event. But here I am, enjoying life, working from my home office, with my dog at my side, getting shit done and having some fun.

March 27 is a big date on my calendar now. I had my 8.5 hour surgery to remove my stomach & cancer 3 years ago. I guess it worked...so far 👍🏻. Thanks again to my family 🇨🇦🏴, friends & followers for all your support. Could NOT have done it without you! 🥰

BTW- Yes you can live without a stomach. They’ll attach the bottom end of the esophagus to the top end of the lower intestine. Easy huh?.😆 So my days of three square meals are over... it’s now gonna be small snacking through the day. But let's get this fight started!

Many folks have been asking why I haven't been working the past 3 months. Back in Mid-April I was diagnosed with Stage1 Kidney Cancer. Found it by complete accident. So next Tues I will undergo surgery at the Royal Alex in Edmonton. Right kidney out...cancer out.

Met with my Doc at the Cross again on Tuesday, and the CT scan shows zero visible cancer. Encouraging. I appear to be clean. So I will go back in six months and now I will resume living a normal life. No chemo. SO time to re-start my business mid-Aug!

So it will be three months of walk-in, daily chemo at the Cross Cancer Institute, a six-week break, then surgical removal of my stomach (including a shrunken tumour) followed by four weeks of recovery, then a final chemo blast for a few weeks to kill this thing....

Rescheduling is damn hard. I now have a ‘firm’ new cancer surgery date of Friday March 27th.
However, IF my blood thinner situation is workable, and a sudden cancellation comes up sooner, we’ll take it. Thanks to all for the positive vibes!

Grew up listening to John Short on my transistor AM radio late at night, he encouraged me to shoot for my broadcasting dream plus kept in contact as I developed in Moose Jaw. Always gave great advice and was quick with the entertaining stories! Hugs to Michael and the family. 🥹
