Evgeny Svechnikov has to be incensed right now. He’s been somewhere in the range of the club’s 4th-6th best forward this season, and a significant part of one of the best lines in the NHL earlier this year. He now finds himself on the 4th line after playing really well.

If this is it for Dustin Byfuglien, there isn’t a player over the last 8 seasons here I’ve enjoyed watching more than him. He was worth the price of admission by himself many of the times he stepped onto the ice. I hope that’s not it for Big Buff.
Dustin Byfuglien, currently on personal leave from WPG, is believed to be using the time to ponder his NHL future. I’m not saying Byfuglien is retiring; I’m not saying he’s coming back to play. Only that he’s contemplating his options and there’s no timetable for a decision.
