The pervasive false dichotomy between those who do science and those who do DEI work. These things are complementary! We can do both, and good researchers *should* do both. It's not a zero-sum game.
Yes I do this work AND I do MOST of it through math research. Why not mention my contributions to algebraic combinatorics since I’ve published 50+ articles?!
