Final 2024 NFL Draft Consensus Board. Based on a combination of 13 Top-100 Final Big Boards. Charted and ranked based on point system. All 166 players had to be listed at least once on at least one of these 13 boards to make this list. I do this exercise every year and it tends
Flores' development strategy for Tua:
1) Start him before he’s ready
2) Bench him twice in Q4 of promising rookie year
3) Team captain? Nope
4) Give him worst OL in NFL
5) Give him worst RB unit in NFL
6) Give him 4 OC’s in 2 years
7) Try (and fail) to replace him with Watson
Tua is 176-248, 71.0% on the year. And the Dolphins lead the league in dropped passes with 20.
So, Tua is hitting his receivers in the hands over 79% of the time while also leading the NFL in YPA with 9.1 (Hurts is second with 8.4).
That's nuts.
After Josh Allen today and Joe Burrow on Thursday, the next 8 QBs the Dolphins are scheduled to face are:
Zach Wilson
Kirk Cousins
Mitch Trubisky
Jared Goff
Justin Fields
Jacoby Brissett
-BYE WEEK-
Davis Mills
Jimmy Garoppolo
Dolphins CB Kader Kohou yesterday:
Q2 - Stops RB Stevenson for a 5 yard loss, making it 3rd and 13. Punt.
Q3 - PBU on TE Hunter Henry on 4th down. Turnover on downs.
Q4 - FF on WR Agholar that seals the game.
3 massive plays by this UDFA!
The Bills ran 50 plays in the second half, scored 3 points.
The Dolphins ran 12 plays in the second half, scored 7 points.
WR Jaylen Waddle is the player of the game here for the Dolphins.

From the heart: I can deal with the Dolphins being bad. But to go from team on the rise who should make the playoffs to “worst team in the NFL by far” in a month has slayed me.
Good day for the Dolphins. Jags and Chiefs lost.
The goal is to get the 1 seed and be 2 home games away from the Super Bowl, not to kneel out the rest of the season and be afraid of the Bills.
Take care of business tomorrow.
#FinsUp
12/28/08 was the 1st game Jackson and I watched. Won the AFC East in a 24-17 W over Favre’s Jets. Dolphins havent won the division since. Hes watched every
#Dolphins
game with me since and sat at my feet for every podcast. Died yesterday at 18. So, F it. Dolphins 24 Ravens 17.
QB’s the Dolphins will face between 09/30 and 12/10:
5) Zach Wilson
6) Kirk Cousins
7) Mitchell Trubisky
8) Jared Goff
9) Justin Fields
10) Bye
11) Jacoby Brissett
12) Davis Mills
13) Trey Lance
Start 2-2/3-1 and lets feast.
Mike Gesicki has been on the field 64.6% of offensive snaps for the Dolphins year. They voluntarily take their best player and biggest mismatch weapon off the field more than 1 out of every 3 plays.
In comparison: Kittle plays 96.7% of snaps. Waller 89.5%. Kelce 85.8%.
The Dolphins have 4 big names who are FA's after 2022: TE Mike Gesicki, DE Emmanuel Ogbah, LB Jerome Baker, K Jason Sanders. I prefer a lot of the Dolphins $$$ be dedicated to keeping these 4 in the building.
27 days ago, the Dolphins were on the verge of going 10-3 and then blew a 27-13 lead to the Titans.
The Bills were 6-6 at the time.
The Bills are now AFC East Champions.
The Dolphins will be fine.
But certain truths are clear on D: Ogbah, Baker, Howard are easy cuts after 2023. Wilkins and Davis will walk as FAs and should. Fangio will then add system fit players.
To paraphrase

yesterday: the guy on the left is a first ballot HOF’er, and the guy on right is just sitting around waiting. Get Zach in the HOF!
Dolphins logic:
Austin Jackson was a poor LT at USC, but we know better
Eichenberg didn't allow a LT sack for 2 yrs at ND, but we know better
Hunt played well at RT at ULL and as a rookie. But we know better
Greg Little and Isaiah Wilson are colossal busts. But we know better
If you tally up all of the picks the Chiefs received from the Dolphins for WR Tyreek Hill, it’s equivalent to the 13th overall pick in the NFL Draft on the trade value chart.
The Jets are pulling people off the street to play OL, protecting the most stationary QB in the game.
If we're sitting here at halftime wondering why the Dolphins can't get pressure on the QB with this Front 4, my chair is going through the window.
QB Teddy Bridgewater
WR Preston Williams
LB Elandon Roberts
LB Duke Riley
LB Sam Eguavoen
CB Keion Crossen
They're depth signings. I get it. But if the Dolphins are unable to put two good OT's around Tua, someone will have to explain to me why $20m went to backups.
#Dolphins
Offense in 2022:
QB - Tua Tagovailoa
RB - Breece Hall (2nd round)
WR - Jaylen Waddle
WR - DeVante Parker
WR - Isaiah McKenzie (FA)
TE - Mike Gesicki
LT - Terron Armstead (FA)
LG - Zion Johnson (1st round)
C - Michael Deiter
RG - Robert Hunt
RT - Trent Brown (FA)
Dolphins will only play 5 road games this season after Sunday. Not possible?
*9 road games last year, so they got 8 this year.
*Supposed to play at Chiefs in W9. That's now in Germany. 7.
*First 2 games on the road. 5.
5 remaining road games. 9 at home. 1 neutral site. 1 bye.
An overall theme today is the Ravens werent prepared, trap game, etc.
Bullshit.
Lamar Jackson struggled because the Dolphins showed him something he hadn't seen before - 24 blitzes by their DBs, which hasn't been done in an NFL game in 6 years. He COULDNT have been prepared.
So Butch Barry and this coaching staff took Austin Jackson—the worst OT in football for years—into a player that earned a 3-yr / $38 million dollar contract and wouldve gotten more if he hit FA.
But Patrick Paul at 6’8 - 331 with 36 inch arms and was actually GOOD in college
It’s been a few days and watching the Tua food fight has been something. I’ll simply say that I respect all opinions regarding Tua.
As long as we can agree on 3 things:
1) Tua is the Dolphins starter in 2024. Any suggestions that the Dolphins should ditch/trade their 25 year
Dolphins are number 1 seed in the AFC. And lead the AFC in:
- Points
- Total Yards
- Passing Yards
- Rushing Yards
- Rushing TD’s
- QB Rating
- Touchdown Passes
- Yards Per Pass Attempt
- Yards Per Play
- WR on pace for most yards in NFL History
- RB leading league in TD’s
Kyle Pitts 7 catches for 163 yards and the reason the Falcons beat the Dolphins.
Ja'Marr Chase 8 catches for 201 yards, TD
Steve Ross needs to look Chris Grier in the face and ask "How the can you be wrong this often?"
It's only 2 games into the season. But these
#Dolphins
off-season signings and re-signings look like steals:
RB Mostert 2-yr, $5.6m
WR Cracraft 1-yr, $1.1m
OT Lamm 1-yr, $1.1m
G Wynn 1-yr, $2.3m
LB Van Ginkel 1-yr, $2.65m
CB Bethel 1-yr, $1.1m
S Elliott 1-yr, $1.77m
Dolphins RBs are averaging 5.77 YPC on 307 attempts this season.
Mostert and Achane aversged 5.11 YPC on 28 carries in this game.
Titans have no DTs on the field here. And its a pass. Unreal.
Sad but unsurprising day as we learned my favorite Dolphin this side of Dan Marino will be cut. I'll never forget Xavien Howard's 30-game stretch from W3 in 2021 to the end of the 2022 season:
15 INT's
3 FF
2 FR's
3 TD's
36 PBU's
Dude forced a turnover every 6-7 quarters for
Dolphins CB Byron Jones on
@gmfb
said that the one of the things that drew him to the Dolphins was their draft capital to build a team "the right way".
Dolphins W tomorrow:
*4-1 and favored in next 6 games
*1st in AFC
*3-0 in the division
*bounce back off of a dramatic W4
Dolphins L tomorrow:
*3-2
*3rd in AFC EAST
*Questionable how likely Dolphins are to defeat the easier part of their schedule with these injuries
#MIAvsNYJ
No shame in losing by 3 at Buffalo. What sucks - The Dolphins had the ball at the ball 1st and 10 at the BUF 40 with 7:35 remaining and up by 8. Then -3 yard pass, incomplete pass, punt, and the D chokes. The Dolphins had a chance to right the season and blew it.
This team has absolutely stabbed Tua in the back in these 3 big games.
Mostert nowhere to be found. Tyreek and Waddle either disappear or drop passes or fumble. Constantly in 2nd and 15 or 3rd and 20 and asking Tua to bail everyone out.
Jakeem Grant with a 46 yard TD catch, a 49 yard PR, and a 97 yard PR for TD. In the 1st half. At Lambeau. On Sunday Night Football. Good for you, dude.
1) Any Dolphins fan who thinks DT Christian Wilkins is worth $20-$25m/yr is frankly a very stupid person who knows nothing about NFL Football. Hes a moron for not taking anything north of $15m.
2) Dolphins will be 5-1 after W6. And a 12-13 W team at years end.
I hope its Brian Daboll. Liked him as OC in 2011, has been great with Alabama and the Bills. Youd think working with Tua + one of league’s Best D would be an ideal scenario. If the Dolphins offer him the job and doesnt accept, its a scathing review of Tua and/or organization.
Would the Dolphins target 49ers G Laken Tomlinson in FA? He has turned into a high-level LG since joining the 49ers in 2017, the same year McDaniel joined the 49ers.
C Liam Eichenberg has a pass pro grade of 10.6 / 100 by PFF on the year. 44th out of 44 centers by a mile. 43rd is Michael Deiter (now Texans) with a 28.3.
Dolphins DE Emmanuel Ogbah has 10.5 sacks in his last 16 games dating back to last year with the Chiefs. He's 6'4 - 275 and ran a 4.63/40 when he came out of college in 2016. He's just 26. What a great signing.
WR Hill and Waddle full participants. CB Howard back at practice. QB Tua likely back next week. OT Armstead toe doesn't appear serious and he hopefully plays on Sunday. Good day for the
#Dolphins
and getting back to normal.
Just a reminder: Liam Eichenberg allowed the most pressures (hits/sacks/hurries) in the NFL last year with 62. Jesse Davis was third worst with 57. Austin Jackson is, well, Austin Jackson.
I remain confident the Dolphins will land OT Terron Armstead. If they don't, wow.
The Dolphins got rid of bad contracts, stockpiled picks for 2020, couldn’t turn down an offer for Tunsil, and Minkah quit. That’s it. Anyone who wants to waste their time by looking further into that is welcome to.
Jesse Davis was like Jay Fiedler. He tried hard. I couldn't get mad at him for not being talented enough. He had no business starting for as long as he did. Good luck to him.
Jakeem Grant restructured his deal down to $3m. I dont care what he did at WR last year, Id take him over any PR in the NFL. And his PR skills alone are worth more than $3m/yr. Glad he stuck.
Dolphins top 5 DB's:
CB Byron Jones ($17.6m)
CB Xavien Howard ($13.3m)
FS Bobby McCain ($6.24m)
SS Eric Rowe ($4.1m)
CB Noah Igbinoghene (1st round)
No excuses for the Dolphins being unable to control this matchup vs. Julian Edelman, N'Keal Harry, Jakobi Meyers, Devin Asiasi.
Final 5 Dolphins drives yesterday:
1) Fumble
2) Missed FG
3) INT
4) INT
5) INT
Tua had 310 yards. RB's had 4.8 YPC.
Held Aaron Rodgers to 78.6 QB Rating and one of the best RB tandems to 3.0 ypc.
Its maddening. This is an incredibly talented roster. Just stop fucking up.
Dolphins 1-2 punch in 2022:
Raheem Mostert: 101 carries, 452 yds (4.48 YPC)
Jeff Wilson: 92 carries, 468 yds (5.09 YPC)
Definitely an exciting day for the Dolphins to acquire Chubb and Wilson.
*Bills got Von Miller
*Chargers got Khalil Mack and JC Jackson
*Colts traded for Ngakoue
*Raiders got Chandler Jones to play opposite Crosby
*Browns going hard after DeShaun Watson
*Ravens got ZaDarius Smith and Marcus Williams
Dolphins? Spent $30m on 7 backup/role players.
Tua had a C- game at best yesterday. He was well protected, had a running game, threw 2 inexplicable INTs and shouldve had more. First time a QB had less than 60% against Jets or lower than 85 QB Rating this year. Its OK to say this and still be pleased with Tua overall.
Note: this doesn't mean Tua would've been "the guy" or that Herbert would've endured the same fate. But, the Dolphins could've literally written a book on how to not develop a QB correctly.
A lot of Dolphins fans aren't happy with retaining Boyer as DC. I am. It's important that the Dolphins keep their same Defensive strategy because it fits the personnel.
Going to a zone-heavy 3-4 D that doesnt blitz much (Fangio) wouldve been bad for a lot of players on this D.
CB Xavien Howard lower than 25 is a joke.
His last 30 games:
*15 INT's, 3 FF's, 2 FR's. Dude is averaging a turnover every 6 quarters for almost 2 years.
*50 or less yards allowed in 21 games
*PFFs highest rated M2M CB. He doesn't sit in a zone and often has his back to the ball
Tua looks small and scared. Austin Jackson is a trainwreck. Noah Igbinoghene is inactive. Christian Wilkins gets steamrolled on every run play. That’s 4 first rounders. I feel for Brian Flores.
Mike McDaniel - Listens to his players and often makes in-game adjustments based on what theyre seeing on the field.
Brian Flores - “My way or the highway” football god who gets his Defensive signals figured out by Baker Mayfield in W1. 🤣🤣🤣
