When did we as a nation become so selfish & lacking awareness? Yrs ago we had much much less we funded Irish charities to feed & educate poorer nations. Now this woke v anti woke nonsense causes division over feeding people in a war.
Would have absolutely no problem with this if we spent €50m on our own people that still have no power since #StormEowyn That would buy a hell of a lot of generators or get the people who are freezing every single day, no hot water, can’t cook or no broadband straight into hotels and guesthouses and mind our own first Optics!! This is why the anger towards this government is 💯 real and nowhere near gone away since the election

Walked city centre this wk, from commercial vacancies just off Grafton St to empty residential it was depressing considering we are in “boom” times the complex reasons need to action. Small town like Ennistymon less dereliction
@IrishTimes has a major series on dereliction of Dublin starting today. A culture of impunity and decades of neglect have contributed to the shabbiness of our capital city and the pattern is repeated across the country. We need to stop tolerating dereliction and punish the offenders who are abandoning buildings.

Very happy to see Nikki Bradley reappointed. To his credit @SimonHarrisTD appointed a person with a disability at the start of his term & followed up again with a positive appointment.
Broadcaster Evanne Ní Chuilinn has resigned from her role in RTÉ and has been named as a Fine Gael senator by Tánaiste Simon Harris

Legendary player, manager with heroic status. The hmm infamous goal was a childhood story I loved to hear & see from my Dad. Rest in peace Paddy Cullen
Very sad to hear of the passing of Dublin legend Paddy Cullen. A great goalkeeper for the Dubs 1967-1979. 3 All Ireland medals & 4 All Stars, he later became Dublin Manager. Such great company. RIP Paddy. Condolences to Ann,Liz, Anthony & Andrew @rtenews @RTEsport

Complete review of these housing charities needed. Ultimately it’s tax payers money spent & many of the public think the charity is housing the person while govt idle.
Amazing how little coverage this is getting. Fr Peter McVerry has resigned from a key board post in the housing and homeless charity he established four decades ago, in a move that follows turmoil over a €15 million State bailout and governance failings.

Trump policy summed up perfectly !
I suppose it can’t be long until Trump decides he’ll solve the Northern Ireland ‘problem’ by sending all the Catholics south of the border, all the Protestants to Scotland and all the atheists/agnostics to Isle of Man; and then turns the place into a giant golf course.
