Went into a record studio for Lower Decks for the first time since mid November 2019. It’s much more fun to make ridiculous requests like “slower, but with a fast energy” or “Whispered but loud” in person than over a Zoom.

So sad to hear about David Warner. I’ve loved his work literally my entire life. Truly a singular talent. Obviously incredible on Star Trek as Gul Madred, Talbot, and Gorkon, but also in so many other things. I had trouble just picking 9 examples. He’ll truly be missed.

It was a team effort. Our casting directors and associate did a lot of leg work. Once we were able to let her know these weren’t prank calls, we talked and I walked her through the show and the significance of TNG’s “Lower Decks” and Sito. She read the scene in 409 and was in.
