Many scouts were at that game, poor lad down in his prime. Tom would have been a dodgeball superstar. One could only wonder how he would have changed the sport with his nimble moves and cat like reflexes. But now we will never know. Biggest tragedy in all of sports.
When I was in 8th grade we were playing Dodgeball in Gym. I ran to the center and then backed up, tripped on my own feet and sprained my arm.
So I too know what it's like to sustain an injury in a professional level sport

Todd got the ball rolling on this rebuild, created an identity in the locker room, and he successfully reinvented the Kings culture. He helped the Kings get to the playoffs 3 years removed from their worst season in franchise history. Lot to be grateful for. Thanks coach!

Anze Kopitar is the best King of all time. It's a close between him and Dionne, but he's done it all, and even surpassed Dionne. Best King in franchise history talent wise and moment wise. Happy to have called him my childhood hero.

I'd love to do this post skin grafting surgery, but I'll do it now. Left is in 2022, right is me a couple weeks ago. I still hsve way more to go. But I've never felt better, happier, confident. But it isn't about the weight. It's about the people I surround myself with.
Also brother, a year ago I had an intervention with myself. I weighed over 400 pounds. I got surgery, hitting the gym for now a year straight, and I'm down to 259. Still a ways to go, but yeah. You can call them fake friends if you want, but they know my story. You're assuming.

In the case for PLD, people are confusing a lack of effort with overthinking. He tries to convert plays, wait for the perfect pass/shot, and his slow style of play makes it look like he doesn't have effort. He needs to learn the same lesson Byfield learned. To act, not think.

Hockey does have a culture problem. Gate keeping, death threats, xenophobia, homophobia. It's not exclusive in hockey, but it's more prevalent. Above all else, it's not a luxury this game can afford to have. It'll never be a top 3 sport if this continues.
I have here an "essay" based on my observations as a hockey fan where hockey is not a sport I have the strongest knowledge of. I love hockey and I want it to grow and be properly recognized as an amazing product but it feels like the community itself prevents its growth.
