Exciting news!
@GoRedRovers
launches the Red Rovers Sports Network on . Every home wrestling match with live commentary: Freshmen, JV, and Varsity dual meets. Never miss a match!
Easton is a very special place. Tonight, the Red Rovers wrestling team did something that only a handful of schools in the country have done. We reached 1000 wins as a school. This is the collective hard work of every wrestler from 1947 until tonight; you were with us on the mat.
Matt Cruise drops a heartbreaker 2-0, and he will finish as the runner-up. We couldn’t be prouder of him, and we can’t wait to see what he does next with the Penn Quakers.

It took a moment to catch my breath….. Chris Kelly with a 1st period fall sends Easton to their first State Final in 16 years.
They’ll face a familiar foe in Becahi at 1:30 pm tomorrow.

The New Magnificent Seven!
Easton exceeds all expectations and qualifies 7 wrestlers to next week’s State tournament. Leading the way was Regional Champion Nick Salamone. Joining him in Hershey are Cosover, Kelly, Linegar, Geiger, Fanelli, and Crossman.

No one team wins 1000 duals in a season. It’s a collective effort of every wrestler, coach, parent, fan, administrator, etc. who has ever supported Easton Wrestling. 76 teams, 1 school! Enjoy a glimpse at our journey.
We are proud of our coach
@SageKaram
congrats!!! Sage coming from 31st to 7th. Sage passed the most cars in the race. Worlds fastest wrestling coach! See u back in the wrestling room this week ;)
Just got off the phone Coach Powell
@eahsmatrat
and he asked me to tell everybody he is doing better and he thanks everybody for the prayers and well-wishes. He and his wife Bobbi Jo
@powellbobbijo
are amazing people!!!
Our medalists: Kelly, Cruise, Geiger, Macario, Fairchild, Apgar, and Cocciolillo. This is why we work hard. (Not picture: Fanelli, he’s probably working out already.)
It’s been a long day…… these Rovers exceeded every expectation. They brought home 10 medals and advanced 9 to Regionals next weekend. They finished 2nd as a team. They led all teams with 6 finalists, and Nick Salamone brought home a title at 107.
On the Road to Hershey….
16 weeks ago, these men set out on a journey; there were highs and lows along the way. The final stage of that journey begins today. For some, that journey will end this weekend; for others, the journey will get tougher. No matter how it ends, we thank them for a great season.
***UPDATE*** Dom Falcone was first in line to report at 0535 to
@WestPoint_USMA
as a new cadet for Class of 2025! Not surprised he followed one of our team expectations: ” If you’re on time, you’re late…Be early!”
If you would like to make a monetary donation to the Fairchild Family, you can Venmo funds to: Easton-Wrestling and please write "Fairchild Family" in the memo.
Easton is leaving Freedom high school with a 4th place finish in team districts. This is the highest we have placed as a team in 5 years! Small steps in the right direction.
It’s not easy to be a Junior Varsity wrestler. They don’t get the headlines; they don’t get the spotlight often. They sometimes make weight to not even get a match, but they are champions too! They build our varsity lineup; they make our starters better. They are next in line.
The Easton Wrestling community would like to wish a happy birthday to “best selling” author Ellis Weitzman. Before he penned our 75 Years of Easton Wrestling, he spent decades on the edge of the mat taking photos for the Rovers. He is an Easton legend; enjoy your day, our friend.
Monday morning highlight. Matt Cruise with a :25 fall at 285 lbs. against Boyertown. Cruise went 5-0 on the day with 2 pins, helping the Rovers to a team championship.
Never taking success for granted. Your 3x Boyertown Bear Duals Champions! A total team effort by these Dawgs. Fenner, Salamone, Krazer, Fanelli, and Geiger were all 5-0 on the day.
Congratulations to Dylan Reed and Anthony Embardino, who are enjoying the view from the top of the podium after capturing JV District titles! Congratulations also go out to Hammerstone (2nd), Correll (3rd), Hazzard (3rd) and Baker (5th) for helping Easton finish in 2nd place.
Always try to exceed your seed. Easton was projected to take home 3 medals; we’ve got 7. All but one Rover exceeded their seed on day one at the BHWC. At 138 lbs, Krazer is top 8 after starting as the 20th seed. Let’s climb that podium tomorrow.
Our Dawgs fought hard and had the team lead until the very last match of the tournament, but it just slipped away. Nine medals in all, one individual title, and a team 2nd place in one of the toughest Christmas tournaments around.
I was fortunate to observe tonight’s recognition by the Easton

of these 2 amazing athletes. Aubre Krazer as Easton’s first girl state champion wrestler, and Matthew Cruise as our scholar athlete. Cruise will be attending Univ of Pennsylvania in the Fall.

Wrestling awards picnic. Very thankful the team permitted me to attend and speak.
Fairchild, Krazer, and Hutchison join their teammates in the semifinals. Easton advances 5 total to that round. The other 8 are still alive for medals.
We're going to be announcing our teams as they're confirmed throughout the year for the 2023 Virginia Duals!
Our first commitment is a big one, the legendary District XI powerhouse from the Lehigh Valley, the Red Rovers of Easton!
Congratulations to our Future Varsity place winners yesterday at the North Penn Tournament. Districts next weekend. Our future looks bright.

There is no better example of a student-athlete than Ben Fanelli. He’s a leader on our team and 3rd in his class of 700+. Please consider voting for him.
Why do we say “exceed your seed”? At 160 lbs., Anthony Apgar just won his 3rd match of the day to advance to the consi-semifinals. He’s one win from Regionals and already a top-6 finisher. He came in seeded

. It’s not where you start; it’s where you finish.
Building a wrestling program...one weekend at a time!!! Competed in SEPA Halloween Wrestling Bash and won the team title! Fantastic event, well run and solid competition.
We preach: Exceed your Seed! We were seeded to get 5 medals; we’re bringing home 9! We weren’t supposed to contend for the team title; we’re in 1st place after Day 1.
Every Rover won a match; it was a team effort.
Words can’t express the sadness since news of Sean Richmond’s passing.
Sean is a Rover. He is the best that we strive to produce. He always held a place in his heart for Easton, and we loved him.
We’re heartbroken today. Once a Rover, Always a Rover.
Easton has advanced all 9 wrestlers to Day 2 of Regionals with 5 in the semifinals. All wrestlers have guaranteed a Top 12 finish in the region! Keep fighting!
We took time to honor Mr. Dick Dewalt tonight at practice. In 1962 he was the 3rd State Champion in our program and attended Penn State. An Easton legend…
The Red Rovers celebrated First Responders Night and recognized Sgt. Achenzie of the BPD before the match last night. They concluded their toy drive helping 280 families in Easton. They finished their night defeating Emmaus 41-15. Easton Wrestling = winning on and off the mat
Easton punches its first ticket to Hershey, as Ben Fanelli reaches the Regional Final at 127 lbs. Salamone and Kelly also advanced to the consolation semifinals, one win from States!
Absolute miracle to be joined by Coach Powell
@eahsmatrat
tonight at practice! All 20 wrestlers roared in applause at his presence.

Basically no reason for me to ever miss another practice again after seeing this!

Good luck to our Junior High wrestlers finishing out day 2 of Districts. Wes Sherman and Jut Cosover are in the finals. Krazer, Pastula, Kirchner and Bell in placement matches. We are Proud!
Easton continues its stellar postseason; they’ve advanced 6 wrestlers to next weekend’s State Tournament in Hershey. They have 1 finalist and 5 consolation finalists in tonight’s placement round.
