بدأت التمور المعبأة المنتجة في إرتريا في غزو الأسواق المحلية والعالمية. وبذلك تدخل إرتريا الى عالم الدولة المنتجة للتمور، وتصبح الدولة رقم 41 المنتجة له. تمت زراعة أكثر من 23 ألف شجرة نخيل في إرتريا حتى الآن ومن المتوقع ان يزداد نموها تدريجيا.
