People also judge him for what happened to Sunny's eye which, sure, is fair... but the fact is that he did so only because of the trauma Sunny put him through. Sunny losing his eye (or having it injured) was his comeuppance for Mari, Basil was just the avarice of fate.

Once the player understands that Headspace is Sunny escaping from the reality of his life, it should have been cut down in favor or more real world character development. Once you meet real world characters, it feels like an unnecessary and lengthy chore that breaks up main story

My favorite bit about Dr. Orpheus is how when he does magic and other people are around to see it he's all grandiose about it but when he's alone he just does it like it's a second thought. Dude just really loved the attention, and given his backstory that's both sad and sweet.

Sunflower appeals to me because a healthy sunflower relationship is the best possible ending for Omori. It represents the two most psychologically damaged characters healing, learning they are capable of love and worthy of being loved, and I just think that's so beautiful.

As someone who has been admitted to a psychiatric hospital more than once, I really respected this game for it's portrayal of depression, regression, trauma, anxiety, and coping mechanisms. It's rare to see mental health in media taken so seriously and handled so delicately.

As someone who grew up in Texas I can say the characterization of Hank was a lot more accurate of a typical American conservative. Set in his ways, has a system of values, flustered over new ideas but typically willing to hear them out even if he ultimately doesn't accept them.

Basil constantly has 1000 thoughts running through his head at any given moment. 950 of those thoughts are anxiety related and worrying he's coming off as annoying despite literally doing nothing but nibbling some ice cream. The other 50 thoughts are about flowers/kissing boys.
