In Sep 2022, BioHeritage's kairangahau Puke Timoti and Senior Māori Researcher Phil Lyver led a group of 14 kaitiaki on a cultural exchange with the Chipewyan Dene people of Łutsel K'e in the Northwest Territories, Canada. Short documentary here:

💭 Imagine a dedicated research centre for freshwater taonga species. Riki Parata is investigating the feasibility of just that, with an initial research focus on kanakana. C&A4's MC Stacey Morrison put it best earlier in the year: "Rawe!" Link: #lamprey
