Looks like we got our first look at the movie Gunpla. Pretty simple silhouette, almost looks like an RX-78-2 in its simplicity. I still stand by the idea that the movie will be original and not an adaptation, until proven otherwise.

I guess the issue with Eva's representation in the overall anime landscape is that it's put forth as a good entry level anime, while in reality it's similar to Nadesico in the fact that you appreciate it more once you understand the culture behind it's creation.
