People who are not happy with this 'simple' approach don't understand that the merch conversation with fans has to start somewhere.
You can develop 'better' merch ideas later on.
Infact, you should create album cover art with merch in mind.

try to do this and when nobody buys it that'll tell you all you need to know, quit and do something else cuz music is a joke of an industry anyway
