There's more cultural diversity crammed into the Kingdom of Belgium than the entirety of the US. And that's not even to say that the US is *all* the same—Europe is just extremely diverse. The US simply doesn't compare. Europe as a whole even uses about 3 distinct writing systems.

....You realise that Djibouti is effectively a city state? It has next to no industry of its own—its entire GDP is derived from the int'l trade that passes through the region & the foreign bases there. If it was located anywhere else, it'd have a low triple digit GDP per capita.

Anyway, Liège was pretty dope! More lively than I had anticipated. It kind of reminded me of Maastricht here and there, except that it's slightly more run-down, haha. The locals were surprisingly proficient in English too, much more so than in Brussels.
