You see it's clearly stated those apps are blocked in china due to them breaking Chinese law. TikTok being banned in the US is purely out of the US wish to control everything popular as usual.
Note that I really dislike TikTok but this whole thing was and is absurd.

The series should have continued in the direction X and Y were going on. Basically classic Pokémon but in 3D.
Gen 7 and onward were fun and all but feel substantially different and for me doesn't fit what a Pokémon game should be like to experience.

The thing is it's not just nostalgia. It's more that the linear games offer a better mix of gameplay and story whereas the newer games while good is far more gameplay only focused. And even then as I've pointed out in my videos the worlds are big for the sake of being big.

Well I think looking at sales like this kinda makes you forget the context of things.
The switch has pretty much the biggest reach out of any Nintendo console ever aaaaand most of all the gaming market is much much bigger now than it was back then.
The whole open world factor
